FOR THE FAL Dear Reader, Back in action again, but not full force... Transformation is all around us, espeically in this scorpionic season and boy is it showing! This “Mini Issues’” purpose was to give a little sneak peek into what’s to come next for PWM and it’s featured artists that work so hard to do what they want to accomplish. Everyone I picked is unique, unstoppable, and true themselves. You can probably tell that this Magazine did not come with a collection of clothing, or a T-Shirt. That’s because I am planning bigger and better things for PWM. It wouldn’t be a great big transformation without roadblocks or setbacks! So just sit tight and enjoy the ride, there is better to come! Thank You to everyone who helped me work on this and to all the artists that contributed to making a third issue happen. If you are reading this and want to be in the next issue, please email us at pwmmagazine@gmail.com and after that enjoy some rad shopping and events at perfectlywellmannered.com

For this mini issue, I wanted to pick the dope and authentic to represent for PWM. The fall season is not only about Halloween and Thanksgiving, it’s also about transformation. These are artists are also able to switch it up when they want and still stay ture to themselves. Without Futher ado, Perfectly Well-Mannered introduces the featured artists in Volume 3 of PWM MAG. -Kaleemah

An assignment I did for class a while back. Only the class has seen it until now. I thought that it would be a perfect match for this issue.

I would consider myself as a Los Angeles based, Feminist artist who focuses on pop and past cultures, humor, and sexualization. I’m interested in camp, postures, fashion and how that translates certain feelings, implications and attitudes through art. The main attitudes I try to capture and find are punk based, specifically female punks; Either being moody, pissed off at being seen as objects or loving it, I’ve sorta done it all. My inspiration comes from Robert Crumb, Raymond Pettibon but mostly the Riot Grrrl Movement. The Riot Grrrl Movement is something I admire and wish I could have been a part of; So to make up for being so fucking young and missing it, I try to make my drawings with the mindset that they would be in those zines. Most of my work has a sexual implications or feelings, but it’s more about women being able to wear and look like how they want and be themselves with their own punk ass, Fuck Off attitudes. It’s something I love and I mean I see it in myself, my friends and in my art but I also see so many women talk shit on each other and thats the thing that bugs me... but I also think it’s hilarious? I guess my main message though is be yourself, whether you’re a punk, a valley girl, fucking who cares, be yourself and be smart and don’t give a shit about other people’s opinions on you...But also if you are a woman, use your voice and create and get pissed...you have all the right! Jade “Baby Organz” MAKEUP ARTIST
My name is Jade, I’m a 19 year old Salvadoran girl from Central LA. I’m currently going to cosmetology school to become a hair dresser, specializing in vintage styles. I grew up loving all things spooky & rock n roll because my parents were/are metalheads, so they raised me on their music & interests. It was sooo fun growing up in that environment & it’s also funny how my birthday is Halloween. Watching horror movies & seeing rockstars got me into doing special effects makeup & glamorous looks. Especially 80’s glam rock bands because they were guys in makeup with big hair. I learned how to do everything on my own & completely out of boredom late at night haha. It’s not something I plan to make a career out of, but it is just one of my many hobbies. But maybe in the future I would consider doing makeup/ special effects for movies.

LER KILLER LLER Alexis Rodriguez, 22, anti-establishment. A few weeks before turning 18 I moved out of the projects and away from my family and the small desert town I was raised in. My illustrations are all I feel I bring into the world, and expressing the black and white surreality I see when I close my eyes is my biggest priority.
