DIGITAL ADVICE DAY 5: Online Reviews
Introduction to Online Reviews Reviews have fast become one of the most important online metrics, allowing prospective customers to get a feel of your organisation and get a glimpse of the service they can expect.
In this booklet you will learn our
TOP TIPS on getting the most from your account.
TOP TIP
Google reviews
Google reviews are a great place to start, as these are the most visible in map results. To begin, ask your existing/previous customers to leave a review upon finalising their project.
Some people may be reluctant at first but you can try to make it as easy as possible for them by using this free tool from WhiteSpark – driving people directly to the review section, rather than asking them to navigate there themselves. https://whitespark.ca/google-review-link-generator/
Make sure every section of your Google Business is filled out.
TOP TIP
Engage with your reviewers!
Another way to help increase the visibility of your Google My Business page is to make sure you reply to all of your reviews.
This is a positive ranking factor for Google and could help to drive more traffic to your website. As well as replying to all of your reviews, make sure every section of your Google My Business page is filled out as this can help to improve visibility by 500%. Google reviews are a fantastic way to boost your map listing but unfortunately do not show up in the text results and they do not have a widget you can display on your website. For this reason, we would advise trailing a 3rd party review platform which has been endorsed by Google as these will allow you to get stars in your text listings on Google. The four companies endorsed by Google are Trust Pilot, eKomi, Reviews.io and Feefo. All of them have their benefits however, using Trustpilot’s free plan is always a great place to start.
