HEAD OF JUNIOR SCHOOL WELCOME

We are delighted that you are taking the time to find out more about what our Junior School can offer your daughter.

The Junior School provides a nurturing environment for girls in Years 3 – 6 to be curious, to question, to explore and to challenge themselves as they grow and learn.

We value the voice of our young learners and celebrate the strengths each of our girls brings to our Junior School family. We want our girls to know themselves and to know that we know them too.

We provoke critical and creative thinking in our girls through inquiry based learning and real world experiences. We look to foster a sense of agency in our girls as we help them to grow and deepen their knowledge of their world. Our girls are encouraged to embrace their learning as an adventure, to ‘have a go’, to celebrate mistakes and to face each learning opportunity with courage and an open mind. Our staff are committed to creating a respectful and caring environment.

Our College values and kindness are at the heart of our Junior School and the girls are encouraged to be kind to others, to the environment and to themselves. Our kindness ambassador, Heidi the Hedgehog is a much loved feature of our Junior School.

We want to empower each Pymble girl to know her voice matters, and the girls are offered a myriad of leadership opportunities including Sustainability Captains, Kindness Captains, ICT Captains and Student Representative Council Captains to develop their confidence and sense of self.
