Basudeb Saha - The Surgeon

Basudeb Saha has dedicated his life to the pursuit of medical excellence. As an M.D and surgeon, Saha has worked in medical care for over thirty-five years as a trauma and general surgeon at the Centegra Northern Illinois Hospital Center. It was there that Saha began to hone and develop his many skills as a physician and surgeon. Saha has recently received much attention for his contributions to the Centegra Health Center, including being awarded the coveted Specialist Excellence Award in 2010.

Basudeb Saha: A Man of the Community Basudeb Saha believes a man's greatest success is not achieved by what he has done for himself, but what he has done for the people around him. That is why Saha actively stays involved in a number of groups and communities both charitable and professional in nature. In 2007, Basudeb Saha joined the American College of Surgeons, a group of dedicated professionals whose main goal is to assure excellence both in their field, and medical standards as a whole.

Basudeb Saha - The Family Man

It is no secret that being a trauma and general surgeon at any hospital can be a high stress career field and environment. Basudeb Saha may thrive in this environment, but knows that every man has their limits.

Though Saha enjoys his career, and finds it both challenging and rewarding, he still emphasizes the importance of family, and actively remains a part of his families ever evolving lives, even in the midst of his own demanding career field. Saha's wife and children know that as a doctor, he has a duty to his community, so they never hold it against him when he is called in to work and unable to spend time with the family.

Saha though, still manages to find time to lead a healthy and enjoyable home life.

Basudeb Saha - The Philanthropist Basudeb Saha knows that not everyone is as lucky or privileged to lead as rich a life as Saha has. This is the same reason that Saha believes it is not only important for men like him in his position to give back, but imperative. Saha believes that it is a social obligation for those capable of it to give back to their communities, and create a general sense of commonality among his fellow man. Saha hopes that his contributions will help inspire others to give to the less fortunate as well, and believes that any investment in a child is an investment in the future.
