Brian Joros - Baseball Life Brian Joros has loved the game of baseball since he was a child growing up in Indianapolis. He took to hitting, fielding, and pitching quickly in Little League, and when he entered high school he was ready for the next level. After a successful high school baseball career that turned the heads of many scouts across the country, Joros took one year to hone his abilities a bit more at Olney Junior College. While there, he excelled on the mound and at the plate. His one season at Olney JC was enough to get him to the Purdue University baseball team, where he continued to show promise on the mound, at the plate, and in the field. He earned a place on the All- Big Ten team by his senior season in 1998. He also graduated with a Bachelor’s of Art Degree. In 2011, Brian Joros earned his Master’s Degree in Education while playing baseball professionally in the minor leagues. He also began coaching perennial underdog Royal Palm Beach High School the same year. Joros took the Wildcats to their first playoff berth in ten season the first year (only to lose in the first round to Joros’ former team, West Boca Raton High School). In his second season as Wildcats coach, he guided them to their first ever District Championship. Throughout his long career as a high school baseball coach, he has gone 215-151with a Regional Championship with West Boca Raton High School in 2007 in addition to his District Championship for Royal Palm Beach. Throughout his career, he has tried to instill the same dedication he has for the game into his players. Brian Joros doesn’t currently coach any team, but he is still heavily involved in the baseball scene in South Florida. He is the founder and director of the Grand Slam National Baseball Tournament in Palm Beach. This annual event features some of the best baseball teams from around the country all in one place. Joros is responsible for recruiting the best teams in the nation to in a 14 team tournament format. He is proud to run an organization that is devoted to getting the players national exposure and prepare them for the next level if they so choose. His devotion to young players and helping them get all the help they need has been one of his most important passions since he began coaching baseball in 2005.
