Brian Sullivan Fairfield Energy - Texas Oil Boom Brian Sullivan of Fairfield Energy is an oil industry professional who has controlled twenty oil well projects since 2007, with seventeen of them being successful. He says that he has established this successful track record by doing his homework and always proceeding with care. "I was taught long ago by my baseball coach that four base hits are the same as a home run," he says. "The difference is that the one with the most home runs always has the most strikeouts." There is a risk in always swinging for the fences, he says, and it can have devastating results in a business investment situation. "I look at a potential project the same as I played ball. I look for a better than average chance to get on base." This cautious approach has been very successful for Brian Sullivan of Fairfield Energy, who formed a new company called Global Precision Corporation in early 2014. The company has drilled five successful oil wells in a northern Texas oil field since its formation, and is optimistic about its chances in twenty more planned wells. "Our wells are being drilled in a proven field with many successful wells around us, therefore the risk is greatly reduced." By placing a small portion of their portfolios with him, he is able to manage a project in its entirety. "The client can be involved or not involved with us, all based on his time restraints." The oil and gas industry is by its very nature a risky business, says Brian Sullivan of Fairfield Energy, but by playing it safe he minimizes risk, and is able to create a portfolio that has a better than average return; in some cases, more than one hundred percent annually. "My goals are to continue this path of safe projects that yield better than average returns without the high risk that normally comes with drilling for oil and gas." The oil industry in Texas is currently in the midst of a boom, unlike anything it has seen in forty years. Industry prognosticators foresee this boom continuing for the foreseeable future, and say that production of Texas crude oil could even surpass its all-time high in 1972. Oil production in Texas already represents about one-third of all the oil produced by the United States. Brian Sullivan of Fairfield Energy did not even enter the oil business until after he had reached the age of forty. He had retired from a previous career in the mortgage banking industry before relocating from Pennsylvania to Colorado and getting his start with an independent oil and gas company in 2004.
