Brigid O'Malley of Naples - Responsibilities of an AMU Communications Director Brigid O’Malley of Naples is proud of the work she was able to achieve as Director of Communications at Ave Maria University. As the school’s communications director from January 2013 to May 2014, O’Malley enjoyed the chance to not only serve a great academic institution, but to also provide the communications leadership, direction and management AMU needed to succeed and grow well into the future. As AMU Director of Communications, Brigid O’Malley Naples enjoyed a myriad of responsibilities, each of which was crucial to the promotion and effective transmission of the university’s message. The responsibilities O’Malley enjoyed are included below. •
As Director, O’Malley was charged with the oversight of every aspect involved in the school’s communications efforts in order to both build and refine a comprehensive and effective communications initiative.

Brigid O’Malley of Naples also oversaw production of, and managed, Ave Maria University Magazine, not to mention school-related websites, brochures, direct mail pieces, advertising, social media and more.

O’Malley was responsible for directing all strategic communications towards contributing to the school’s priorities of relationship-building, development and creating a message that attracted both donors and students.

One of her primary goals, as communications director, was to promote a consistent and professional image geared towards the university’s future.

Brigid O’Malley of Naples worked to implement programs that would effectively promote the university to both the media, and to influential parties and decision-makers locally, regionally and nationally.

As Director, O’Malley worked to build, improve and maintain a positive reputation for AMU using both traditional and social media formats. This ultimately helped to reinforce positive university messages through all forms of media and to all potential audiences.

O’Malley capitalized on her extensive, and quite exceptional writing and advocacy skills, to ensure the university’s message effectively reached a variety of audiences.

Throughout the course of her AMU duties, Brigid O’Malley of Naples provided skilled and effective leadership to her team, which helped to ensure both the mission of the university, and the goals of her comprehensive communications strategy, were well-supported and carried through at all times.

O’Malley worked diligently on special events’ fundraising efforts, as well as the advancement and development teams needed for special events.
