Dr. Binyamin Rothstein Brings Great Skill to His Role of Doctor of Osteopathy The scope of the life’s work of Dr. Binyamin Rothstein is extensive. A dedicated medical researcher, Dr. Rothstein began his interest in genetic research as an undergraduate at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where he engaged in genetic lab work while studying as a biology major. His interests in the natural sciences led him to observe the work of a classically-trained osteopath, Dr. Bertram Waskey. Watching how patients responded to this approach piqued his interest and eventually led to his pursuit of Osteopathy as a career. Dr. Binyamin Rothstein broadened his role of medical researcher after his Doctor of Osteopathy credential from Des Moines University’s School of Osteopathy and his residency at the former Hillcrest General Hospital in New York. Rothstein had attended Osteopathic Medical School at Des Moines University on a military scholarship, and after a short stint in practice, went on active military duty. Dr. Rothstein was the only active duty soldier with a beard and a yarmulke, on a religious exemption to dress code. His assignment was the United States Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases. USAMRIID, as it is called, is a one-of-a-kind medical research army institution, charged with research to produce vaccines and preventions for highly contagious biological weapons. This microbial and viral research for the military ended when Rothstein left military service to establish his private practice in Baltimore, Maryland, his home town. However, the tendency to use his knowledge of medical and chemical relationships became an integral part of his practice. Although Binyamin Rothstein believes in the traditional use of Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy, and the avoidance of unnecessary drugs and surgeries in treatment, he acknowledges the value of all healing systems be it acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine, homeopathy, orthomolecular medicine or western medicine, they all have their place. His natural medical researcher’s curiosity led him to explore new therapies for difficult patient problems like Alzheimer’s, the loss of brain function, and ADHD, an often misdiagnosed condition in children who have learning and behavioral difficulties. Dr. Binyamin Rothstein’s investigations into the sources of these conditions have led to work with the MTHFR gene, mutations of which have been shown to be connected to dementia, anxiety and the loss of essential brain function. From this work Dr. Rothstein developed Vitaben’s Vitamins, supplements specifically designed to help replace essential substances to enhance brain function and alleviate anxiety. Similarly, Dr. Rothstein became concerned with the high incidence of ADHD diagnosis in children who did not seem to have a dopamine deficiency in the brain, which is the cause of true ADHD. Dr. Rothstein concluded that the majority of ADHD diagnoses are not due to low levels of dopamine, which is why so many patients with ADHD-like symptoms can be treated successfully with nutritional plans, supplements, and cranio-sacral manipulation. The majority of his patients never need medications again. To Learn More,Visit : https://www.crunchbase.com/person/binyamin-rothstein
