In 1973, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy at Franklin and Marshall College located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and was awarded the John Noss Prize in philosophy. Dr. Jerome Abrams then moved on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from Temple University School of Medicine in 1977 before finishing his residency in family practice at Franklin Square Hospital.
