Jerry Jacobs of Miami, FL Proudly Supports the Efforts of the Miami Beach Senior High School Alumni Association Jerry Jacobs of Miami, FL is a member of The Miami Beach Senior High School Alumni Association, continuing his fondness to his high school alma mater, Miami Beach Senior High School. Jerry was born and raised in Miami, and has never ventured far from its environs in his academic and career life. Jerry has thrown his full support into a current fundraising project intended to benefit the present and future students of Miami Beach Senior, and which also commemorates past students with more than a little pride. The “new” Miami Beach Senior High has set aside a special wall for the Pathway to Success fundraiser. The wall is the display area for the sale of ‘bricks’ engraved with the message of the purchaser’s choice. One can honor new graduates, other alumni, family milestones and celebrations, or memorialize departed students. Historically, the brick displays have the potential to be a long-standing legacy, reminding students that Miami Beach Senior High has a proud tradition which will be carried into the future. Alumni who purchase a ‘brick’ support the proud tradition of Miami’s only public high school. Jerry Jacobs of Miami, FL is one of those proud alumni. The monies earned from the sale of commemorative bricks will support the Miami Beach Senior High School Alumni Association’s scholarship program, which awards and supports achieving senior students and other deserving academic projects. One such scholarship is the annual Fred Singer Scholarship, named in honor of Fred Singer of the class of 1952. The Fred Singer Scholarship is designated to be awarded in perpetuity to a student who will engage in the study of media and production. Fred Singer is an integral member of the Alumni Association, and has used his talents as a filmmaker and TV cameraman to enhance video productions for inductees into the Hall of Fame. Singer’s productions on behalf of the students of Miami Beach Senior High have served as effective educational tools in themselves, inspiring students with stories of students past. Jerry Jacobs of Miami, FL points with pride to this sort of volunteer activism on behalf of students’ education. Each year, an exceptional group of MBHS seniors received scholarships from the Alumni Association, and are enabled to attend the schools of their choice for higher education. MBHS seniors are now attending the University of Miami, the University of Michigan, the University of Florida, Florida State, the University of Illinois and Johns Hopkins due to the generosity of Miami Beach Senior High Alums like Jerry Jacobs of Miami, FL. Jerry feels a deep obligation and satisfaction at being able to use his blessings to support future generations of Miami Beach Senior High graduates in attaining their career dreams.
