Joshua Kerrigan - Yachts Are His Passion Yachts are Joshua Kerrigan’s life. Having worked on and enjoyed yachts from a very early age, Kerrigan now enjoys the chance to not only make a living, but also prosper as a the leader of a company that provides yacht repair, maintenance and crew services. Joshua Kerrigan began his very first yacht maintenance company at the young age of 15, and has since fully immersed himself in the both boats and the boating industry. As one who understands nearly anything and everything to do with a boat, from repair, maintenance and detailing to leading a boat crew during an extended voyage, Captain Kerrigan continues to exhibit an unrequited passion for his favorite industry and mode of transportation. A yacht, as Joshua Kerrigan is well aware, requires the cooperation of a crew, rather than a mere individual, to successfully operate, maintain safety and complete a successful voyage. As he knows, yachts come in all shapes and sizes, and can often times be exceptionally large and seemingly difficult to manage. It requires the work of a team of professionals, an entire crew of dedicated and experienced yachting experts, to effectively keep the vessel on course and away from danger. In some cases, this crew cohesion is easy, and everything aboard flows soundly and smoothly throughout the trip. In others, many of the crew members have never met before, and instead have to rely on preset yachting protocols to understand who is charged with each responsibility. As a Captain, Joshua Kerrigan maintains tight control over the crew, the boat’s course and what to do should an emergency situation arise. As he knows, a boat travelling at a high speed doesn’t provide much room for error, requiring everyone aboard to understand what their duties are as well as where they fit within the pre-established chain of command. As Captain, Joshua Kerrigan maintains control over the boat’s course, the speed and navigation, and crew command. As he knows, a captain’s orders must be accepted and adhered to without question, and all onboard tasks must be completed by crew members without question or complaint. Nothing is as satisfying or as rewarding for Joshua Kerrigan as being at the helm of a beautiful boat, leading a crew towards the successful completion of the voyage.
