Ryan R Johnson – Skilled Movie Producer Ryan R Johnson is a skilled and knowledgeable professional in the movie industry. In the past, he has been a stunt and body double, an intern, a producer's assistant, the head of development for a couple production companies, and an executive in a various film production companies. He is a highly educated individual and has attended Pacific Lutheran University, Boise State University, Whittier Law School where he studied Business Administration and Political Science, and UCLA where he was in the Producers Program. Needless to say, his experience and education has been an asset to his career and for those who have worked with him. Ryan R Johnson began his career in the movie industry as a stunt and body double for the Green Power Ranger in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers television show. Acting was not his calling though, and he soon sought employment in the production side of the movie industry. He began as an intern for Peter Guber at Mandalay Entertainment and slowly worked his way up to the assistant of producers Ori Marmur and David Zelon. After learning the trade as an assistant, he gained enough credibility and became the Head of Development for Mandalay Entertainment. As the Head of Development, he oversaw the production of movies such as Enemy at the Gates, Beyond Borders, The Score, and Into the Blue. Ryan R Johnson's rise in the movie industry didn’t stop there though. In 2003, he founded Pretty Dangerous Films who produced 18 films in it’s first four years. Two of those films were Cannes Festival headlines and starred Jeremy Renner and Winona Ryder in “The Heart is Deceitful Above All Else” and William H. Macy and Julia Stiles in “Edmond”. Pretty Dangerous Films’ success allowed Johnson to continue his work in the independent movie scene. He produced “Chasing 3000”, a film about baseball legend Roberto Clemente, starring Ray Liotta. In 2013, Ryan R Johnson founded The Film House with Michael P. Haggerty. The Film House is a film distributor that organizes regional domestic releases, global distribution, and foreign sales. In partnership with New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo, The Film House opened a production studio in Syracuse, New York. Currently, they are working projects that are aimed at helping students kick-start a career in the film industry. Ryan R Johnson looks forward to making important contributions to the independent movie industry. The Film House is a project he believes will make huge strides towards the continued empowerment of the indie scene.
