Sudhir Bajaj Attends Indian Charity Golf Tournament On November 15, 2014, Sudhir Bajaj participated in the 5th Annual Round Table India Golf Tournament in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Members of Hyderabad Deccan Round Table 189 organized the event. Hyderabad Deccan Round Table 189 is a subgrouping of individuals that live in a particular region of Hyderabad and works with the parent group Round Table India. The tournament was created in 2009 as a means of supporting Freedom Through Education (FTE). FTE is an Indian charity organization that is dedicated to providing children in India with quality educational resources and infrastructure. The group uses proceeds raised from events such as the Round Table India tournament to build new schools, toilet blocks, labs, and other educational infrastructure in the Andhra Pradesh province. Education standards in India have been criticized by other nation’s educational groups, largely in part to the large volume of students in India with no access to education due to a lack of resources. FTE hopes to improve on this by adding such resources to deter Indian children from living a life of pervert and illiteracy. An accomplished scholar and businessman himself, Sudhir Bajaj sees value in events such as the tournament sponsored by Round Table India. Bajaj earned both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Manufacturing Systems from Boston University in 1989, and has since gone on to have a profitable career in information technology. Bajaj’s first business, PlanetSoft, was an insurance software developer that created underwriting software to support the life insurance industry on a global scale. The business was ultimately sold to Ebix CEO Robin Raina in 2012 for millions. Bajaj now works with groups like LUV4wrd, an app that encourages sharing messages of love and happiness, and has partnered with Atlanta business FLIP Burger to donate ¢50 to Atlanta’s Mercy Center for every share. Mercy Center is Atlanta’s only resource for the over 7,000 homeless men, women, and children in the city. Being an active supporter of local charities in important to Sudhir Bajaj. His work with organizations like Freedom Through Education is sure to provide Indian children with a more prosperous future. Bajaj has also supported Indian citizens through the development of a satellite office for PeopleSoft in New Delhi. Bajaj is committed to enhancing the future of India’s children, and he continues to work with FTE and Round Table India to ensure a better future for them.
