Can you share with us any exciting new developments or project works at Marriott?

We're always looking for new ways to enhance the guest experience and keep things fresh at our properties. We have some exciting projects in the works, including a new dining concept around the pool area at Marriott Marquis set to open in October 2023. This space will feature innovative food and beverage offerings and live entertainment, ensuring a one-of-akind experience for our guests.

The already popular Farmore Thn Burger restaurant at Marriott Executive Apartments will enhance its appeal as a sports lounge with additional equipment and features soon.

What are your favorite hobbies or activities to do in Qatar?

In my free time, I love to engage in a variety of activities here in Qatar. As a fitness enthusiast, I enjoy hitting the gym, swimming, and playing tennis to stay active. Recently, I discovered the Old Port area and had a great dining experience there.

On weekends, I like to explore new places, and Al SamriyaAutograph Collection, a new Marriott hotel, was my recent experience to rest and relax. Qatar is also an incredible place for outdoor and beach activities, providing endless opportunities to explore and unwind. As a travel hub, Qatar boasts the world's best airport, making it easy to explore other destinations with excellent connectivity. Overall, I find that Qatar has something for everyone and I enjoy discovering all that this amazing country has to offer.

What's the most memorable experience you've had working in the hospitality industry?

I successfully managed the opening of Le Méridien City Center in Doha during the FIFA World Cup 2022. The brand, the owner, and the country itself had a big responsibility. The great memories I have from that experience will be cherished forever.

What advice would you give to someone interested in pursuing a career in the hospitality industry?

I highly recommend starting with an international brand after completing your studies. This can provide you with valuable experience, exposure to diverse training programs, professional development opportunities, and enhanced job market value. Marriott has several options including the Voyager program for beginners, which creates a clear career path for young hoteliers.

What's your favorite dish or cuisine at Marriott Marquis or Marriott Executive Apartments?

All of them are part of my family and it is hard to point at one. I choose them based on my cravings. Ipanema offers a fantastic Brazilian dining experience, Cucina has the most authentic Italian, New York Steak House has amazing steaks and Farmore Thn Burger has the best burgers. All venues are great and stay true to their concepts, but those are my top picks.

What is your favorite sport to watch or play?

I used to play basketball but now I enjoy playing tennis. However, football had become my latest favorite sport to watch, especially after attending the FIFA World Cup 2022, one of the best events I've ever been to.

If you could have dinner with any celebrity or historical figure, who would it be and why?

I would choose to have dinner with Sam Altman to discuss the future of AI and ChatGPT, including its pros and cons.
