Irvington is an affluent suburban village in the town of Green-
Irvington
burgh in Westchester County, New York, it is located on the eastern bank of the Hudson River, 20 miles north of midtown Manhattan in New York City, and is served by a station stop on the Metro-North Hudson Line. To the north of Irvington is the village of Tarrytown, to the south the village of Dobbs Ferry, and to the east unincorporated parts of Greenburgh.

This project is to provide a written and illustrated Master Plan document to act as a reference and guide to facilitate strategic and coordinated capital improvements to Main Street including recommendations to: • Improve street crossings • Improve pedestrian environment • Provide traffic calming • Highlight the Village’s historic quality • Foster social interaction • Recommend street furniture, sidewalk andstreet tree improvements • Welcome visitors and improve commerce • Improve accessibility and way finding • Improve connections to transportation and linkages surrounding community • Rethink stormwater management • Seek cost effective implementation and phasing strategies • Identify funding strategies

Central Business District of southern Taiyuan City is located adjacent to the Fen Riverm which is the “mother river” of Taiyuan city, and it is also the secondary branch of the Yellow River, this special location determined that it is destinied to be the key link between Fen River andthe southern Taiyuan city, and at the meantime, this linear green space is corresponding to the historic places which are on the other side of the Fen River.
