4) Silver Infocomm PC Incentive Scheme To incentivise IT learning among senior citizens, IDA will give a $100 incentive for purchase of PCs to those who complete 30 hours of IT training with our Silver Infocomm Junction partners. IDA had worked with industry partners to come up with PC bundles that are priced competitively for seniors. This scheme defrays the cost of PCs for senior citizens and we hope more seniors will be incentivised to buy a computer for self-practice and continue to hone their newly-acquired IT skills and knowledge after training. Senior citizens can purchase the special PC bundles as well as use the $100 incentive from the three appointed industry partners:   

5) Intergenerational IT Bootcamps Partnering with different schools, these bootcamps will help to foster closer intergenerational ties between students and their grandparents, through hands-on IT workshops on themes like Getting Started on Facebook, Chinese Text Input with Handwriting Tablet, Infocomm Tools for Health Management and so forth. By appealing to senior citizens‟ desire to build closer ties with their grandchildren, and spurring their learning interest at these bootcamps, IDA hopes to encourage continued training and infocomm usage by the elderly.
