Fall is when temperatures start to change, and comforting dishes warm our home and our soul. This is a great time to celebrate the apple harvest and make applesauce with ingredients you can find every Monday at the Helen Albert Certified Farmers’ Market.

This delicious Homemade Applesauce recipe is packed with the warm flavor of cinnamon and freshness you can really taste.

EASY APPLESAUCEHOMEMADE

StepDirections:1.Place all ingredients in a medium saucepan and stir well. Step 2. Bring to a boil over medium heat and reduce heat slightly. Cover and cook 30 minutes, or until apples are very soft. Step 3. Mash with the back of a spoon until the applesauce is the desired consistency. Serve and enjoy! Make Ahead: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months. *Applesauce is a great substitute for oil in baking. It adds moisture and flavor to cake, muffins and quick breads.

From the dot at the center of your circle cut a X using an Exacto knife. This creates an opening for your tissue. Place circle into the lid ring of mason jar. Fold your tissue and place into mason jar. Feed a center tissue up through your X in your scrapbook paper, and screw on the lid ring. Mason Jar Exacto Knife Scrapbook Paper Pen Scissors
