For adults, at the West Hollywood Park Pool, we have popular fitness classes for all levels of swimmers and lots of open time for lap swimmers. For those of you who want to learn to play tennis, the city has a new look to the Pro Shop and court time reservations available online - plus lessons, lessons, lessons, whether group or individual. There are also opportunities for cardio tennis, fast ball clinics, round robins and tournaments.

We pride ourselves in serving you, the West Hollywood community, in well-maintained recreation facilities; providing recreational experiences to individuals, families and community groups, and offering a wide variety of classes, events and programs for participants of all ages.

Between June 15 and August 17, the City of West Hollywood through its Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission will present the 2014 Summer Sounds concert performance series, which will take place outdoors throughout the summer at West Hollywood Park, Kings Road Park and Plummer Park. This year’s line-up will be a mix of Jazz, World and Latin music. All concerts are free to attend. Limited first come, first serve seating will be available on provided chairs, or alternately bring a picnic basket and a blanket to enjoy the show. (Please note: City parks are alcohol free).

TINY TOTS Kidz Love Soccer Since 1979, Kidz Love Soccer has been dedicated to teaching children the world’s most popular sport within a nurturing, recreational environment. A typical session experience includes age appropriate activities: skill demonstrations, fun games, and instructional scrimmages. Young soccer enthusiasts experience soccer fun in a safe, non-competitive environment. All participants receive a Kidz Love Soccer jersey! Tot/Pre-Soccer Little tykes enjoy running and kicking just like the big kids! Teaches the basic techniques of the game and builds self-esteem through participation and fun soccer activities. TEEN Teen Center

Location: 7377 Santa Monica Blvd. | Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 3 pm - 9 pm Located in the Plummer Park Community Center, the Teen Center is a place dedicated to offering a variety of flexible, recreational, and structured enrichment activities to youth and teens between the ages of 9-18. Dedicated staff plan and implement these programs while keeping the participant’s intellectual and social skills in mind. In addition to the daily activities, the Teen Center sponsors a variety of dances, special events, and teen excursions. West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station Youth Activities League (YAL) The City of West Hollywood Recreation Services Division has teamed up with the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station Youth Activities League (YAL) to bring some new and exciting programs to our community youth in the 8-17 year age range. The mission of West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station Youth Activities League (YAL) is to unite law enforcement and communities by providing youth programs which develop discipline, positive self-image, mutual trust and respect. Join us for upcoming activities such as our Teen Actors Guild (T.A.G.) Theatre Program, BEAR Bicycle Program, Film Production and various fun-filled excursions. Your hardest decision will be where to eat, since Coronado has over 70 cafes and restaurants to choose from. Later in the day, you’ll make the short drive to the Ferry Landing where you’ll discover a selection of specialty shops and galleries – all with fabulous views of downtown San Diego. Finally, you’ll board the ferry (included) for a short cruise across San Diego bay before heading home.

Relax, rejoice and revel in the extraordinary sounds of music that fill the air during the acclaimed California Philharmonic Festival on the Green concert series. You will be surrounded by the lush infield of Santa Anita Race Track and against a breathtaking unobstructed view of the San Gabriel Mountains as you will be transported to a unique place and time where music and memories come alive. Enjoy pre-concert live jazz while you enjoy a gourmet meal (not included). You may order on site, call ahead to Santa Anita Park Hospitality and place your order from 2 weeks to 24 hours prior to concert and pick up in the Festival Village or you can bring a picnic basket from home if you like. We will depart from Long Beach onboard the Catalina Express for roundtrip transportation (included). Next, your eyes will be drawn to the gleaming buildings climbing the hillside above the Mediterranean-style port of Avalon. Once we arrive the day is yours to explore the island paradise at your leisure. Catalina Island has plenty to offer. There are plenty of boutiques, restaurants and optional tours (not included). Welcome to Our 8 Weeks of Summer!

SUMMER CAMPS

We are excited to have your camper spend the Summer with us! City of West Hollywood Recreation Division is offering a variety of weekly themed camps to explore your child’s interests. Each week is action packed with unique activities, free swim at the West Hollywood Pool, and exciting field trips. Camp West Hollywood promotes creativity, safety and wellness, physical activity, building positive relationships, and creating new memories. Sign up for one of our weeks, or all eight! Ages: 6 – 11 years* | Cost: $150 per week *Proof of age must be submitted in person two weeks prior to the start of camp. Registration Dates

 April 29 (Residents) at 10:00 am  May 1 (Non-Residents) at 10:00 am Visit www.weho.org/recreation to register. You may sign up for one or all eight weeks at the same time. Spaces are limited. Non-refundable deposit of $75 per week per camper at the time of registration is required to reserve a space in camp. Complete payment is due on the Monday, two weeks prior to each week you are registered for camp. Failure to pay the remaining balance on time will result in the forfeiture of your child’s day camp spot for that week and forfeiture of the $75 deposit.

Late Pick-Up Policy

Parents and/or Guardians must pick their camper up ON TIME at the end of each camp day. THERE IS NO GRACE PERIOD. Should the participant be picked up late, a $1 per minute late fee will be charged, starting the minute after the end of camp. Late fees must be paid before the child can return to the program. If a parent or guardian is repeatedly late picking up their child, they risk suspension from the program without refund.

Week 1: Go for the Gold

The Summer Games are coming to West Hollywood! Get ready to compete in traditional and not-so-traditional games this week. It all begins with the opening ceremonies where kids will learn about the cultures of their home countries. The competition heats up on the final day, where medals and awards will be handed out. Week 2: Get a Clue

Put on your detective’s hat because this week will be all about cracking codes, deciphering clues, and sending secret messages. You’ll use the skills you’ve learned to help solve a mystery at the end of the week. Lead Counselor: Dyanna 2410 June 23 - June 27 M - F 8 am - 5:30 pm

Recreation Programs Refund Policy

R equests for withdrawals, refunds, credits or transfers for all Recreation Programs require written notice via email to recreation@ weho.org ten days prior to start date of the program. Submitting a refund request does not ensure the refund will be granted.  Make-up classes, credit or refund will NOT be given for any dates missed by patron for any reason.  Full refunds/credits are available for classes that are cancelled by the city.  A refund check is issued for all check or money order transactions. This refund process takes 4 - 6 weeks. Credit card transactions will be refunded to the same credit card within five business days.  A $5 administrative fee will be charged per transaction per participant.

The West Hollywood Pool strives to offer affordable and safe Aquatics Programs for the entire community. The pool is located at 647 N. San Vicente Boulevard between Melrose Ave. and Santa Monica Blvd. The pool is conveniently located inside West Hollywood Park adjacent to the West Hollywood Library. REGISTRATION/RESERVATION AND REFUND POLICY Registration Information R egistration is required for all recreation programs. Register early, as programs may have to be cancelled without the minimum enrollment.  Recreation programs are NOT prorated.  Register online at www.weho.org/recreation or you may register in person at West Hollywood Park and Pool or Plummer Park.  Check, credit card, or money order are accepted forms of payment. NO CASH.

Late Pick-Up Policy P arents and/or Guardians must pick-up children and youth participants ON TIME at the end of each class or camp day. THERE IS NO GRACE PERIOD. Should the participant be picked up late, a $1 per minute late fee will be charged, starting the minute after the end of class. Late fees much be paid before the child can return to the program or class. If a parent or guardian is repeatedly late picking up their child, they risk suspension from the program without refund.
