QFT LEARNING QFT co-ordinates a year-round schools and colleges programme which is designed to support the national curriculum at KS1 to AS & A2 level. Teachers can arrange private screenings that are tailored for specific courses of study, or short film showcase screenings upon request.

ACCESS SCREENINGS QFT is fully wheelchair accessible with five wheelchair spaces in Screen 1 and four spaces in Screen 2. Free carer tickets for disabled customers are available on request. Both screens are fitted with an infrared assisted listening system with headphones. Audio enhancement is available for all screenings and audio description for selected screenings. We also endeavour to host access screenings with on-screen captioning as often as possible. The tall, handsome Abdul Karim (Ali Fazal) was just twenty-four years old when he arrived in England from Agra, India to wait at tables during Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee. An assistant clerk at Agra Central Jail, he suddenly found himself a personal attendant to the Empress of India herself. Within a year, he was established as a powerful figure at court, becoming the Queen's teacher or Munshi, and instructing her in Urdu and Indian affairs. Devastated by the death of John Brown, her Scottish ghillie, the
Queen had at last found his replacement. But her intense and controversial relationship with the Munshi led to a near revolt in the royal household. Victoria & Abdul is a tender love story between an ordinary Indian and his elderly Queen, a relationship that survived the best attempts to destroy it. Olivia Cooke and Bill Nighy star in this gothic thriller directed by Juan Carlos Medina (Painless) and adapted by Jane Goldman (KickAss) from a 1994 murder mystery novel by Peter Ackroyd. Somewhere within the smog covered streets of Victorian East London lies a murderer. With the victims piling up and the shaken community attributing the crimes to a mythical creature, a so-called Golem, a police inspector (Nighy) is brought in to help uncover the truth. Cloaked in atmospheric fog and dirt, this nicely staged gothic murder mystery features the darkest of humour and a winning turn from Bill Nighy.

Detroit explores the systemic racism that led to arguably one of the most destructive civil disturbances in the history of the United States.

Based on the true story of the 1983 mass breakout of 38 prisoners from the HMP Maze high security prison, Maze is a gripping prison break drama that follows the relationship between two men on opposite sides of the prison bars. As Larry Marley (Tom VaughanLawlor, Love/Hate), the chief architect of the escape, schemes his way towards pulling off this feat, he comes into contact with prison warder Gordon Close (Barry Ward, Jimmy’s Hall). Initially Larry and Gordon are confirmed enemies but when Larry realises that Gordon may be unwittingly useful for his escape plan, a slow seduction begins.
GOD’S OWN COUNTRY FRI 8 – THURS 21 SEPT

A tender, beautiful and frank love story, set against the bleak, stunning backdrop of the Yorkshire moors, God’s Own Country is a remarkable debut from director Francis Lee. Dubbed the ‘Yorkshire Brokeback’ this is, however, an altogether wilder, rawer affair. Johnny (a superb performance from the young actor Josh O’Connor), is an angry and unhappy young farmer, dulling his emotional pain with heavy drinking and casual sex. Gheorghe (Alec Secareanu), a Romanian immigrant, starts work as the farm’s new hired hand and a passionate, intense relationship soon develops between the two young men.

Wind River is a chilling thriller that follows a rookie FBI agent (Olsen) who teams up with a local game tracker with deep community ties and a haunted past (Renner) to investigate the murder of a local girl on a remote Native American Reservation. QFT is delighted to continue its dementia friendly screenings in September, which coincides with World Alzheimer’s Month, an international campaign to raise awareness and challenge stigma. The classic musical Funny Girl was Barbra Streisand's debut film, winning her an Oscar for her incredible performance as Fanny Brice. These screenings make cinema more accessible by providing an inclusive experience for people living with dementia, their families and carers. Free tea, coffee and biscuits are available from 10.30am, with the film at 11am. QFT is committed to the Age-Friendly Belfast Charter.

45 years after Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour filmed ‘Live at Pompeii’ in the legendary Roman Amphitheatre there, he returned for two spectacular live shows. The performances were the firstever rock concerts for an audience in the stone Roman Amphitheatre, and, for two nights only, the 2,600 strong crowd stood exactly where gladiators would have fought in the first century AD. An audio-visual spectacle, the show features stellar performances from an all-star band performing Pink Floyd classics as well as songs from Gilmour’s solo career.
