PINE & POWDER

PINE & POWDER

Maine in winter belongs to those who stay. While the crowds retreat, Mainers come to life.

The winter season transforms the landscape into something both rugged and serene, where the scent of pine mingles with the sharp, clean air and freshly fallen powder glistens under bluebird skies.

Boots crunch on frozen ground as the season settles in—whether it's the meditative motion of skis cutting through fresh powder, the steady rhythm of splitting firewood, the low hum of a sled carving through pine-dotted trails or the quiet joy of simply watching snowflakes swirl from a window.

Inspired by winter’s quiet beauty and vast adventure, Pine & Powder designed by Jennifer Kent—captures the essence of Maine’s coldest, (and arguably) most magical months. This four-piece collection celebrates the textures, colors, and tones of the season—woodsy, windblown, and wonderfully wooly. With snow-covered pines as its backdrop and the warmth of wool as its shield, Pine & Powder is a love letter to wintering in Maine.

Named after Lost Valley Resort, the first in Maine to produce artificial snow, the Lost Valley Socks add a touch of ingenuity to your winter knitting. Knit in Tern, our wool-silk blend, they are cast on using a Turkish Cast On and worked seamlessly in the round from the toe up. The smooth stockinette stitch heel is shaped with short rows, while the cuff is finished with 1x1 ribbing. A clean, polished edge is achieved with an Invisible Ribbed Bind Off, making these socks as refined as they are wearable.
