hink: Deep dark rich spicy, the colors of fresh chili powder, turmeric, paprika, and curry.
Then picture: Pattern on pattern, texture on texture—bold cables and small, delicate twists, rib patterns and knit-purl motifs that call to mind ancient tile floors in a Turkish mosque. We think a lot about color at Quince, and we often plan our collections around a color theme. After all, we have a palette of some 60+ colors to choose from. Quite often our theme is blue. Or gray. Or somehow muted, whatever it is. But for Spice, we ventured out of New England/Nordic winter inspiration and traveled in our imagination to countries East, countries older than ours, with narrow, cobbled streets pungent with smells of spicy cooking. We picked a palette to warm you on the first crisp days of autumn. And we chose pieces to wrap up in or to lend another layer come winter. We can, of course, happily envision these garments in our favorite blues and grays, but right now they’re speaking to us in their vibrant warming hues. Let us know your favorite colors—where shall we travel in an upcoming collection?
