Summer Camps by Date
Summer Day Camps for 2025 are offered in half-day and full-day options.
Half-day options may be paired for a full day of fun! Campers who are enrolled in both a morning camp and an afternoon camp can attend a supervised lunch period at no additional cost.
Please note the following special schedules affecting camps:
• The first week of camp (May 27-30) is TUESDAY-FRIDAY ONLY.
• All Sports Camp Half Day Session (June 2-6) and ABC Art Camp (July 16-20) run from 9 AM to 1 PM. This is an exception from the other half-day camps.

Now offering bus service for camp!
Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School will offer a shuttle bus for camps during Weeks 2, 3, and 4 of camp! Parents can sign up for the shuttle when registering for camp. There will be morning and afternoon routes to Highlands (Bryson’s Food Store) and Clarkesville (Blue Creek Grill in Hollywood). The cost is $33 per week to ride round-trip, and $22 per week to ride one-way. A miminum number of 12 must sign up for the bus for service to be offered. All Sports Camp
This one-week camp is designed to give young students an opportunity to learn and play a variety of games, to keep their minds and bodies active, and to promote the core tenets of spirit and sportsmanship embodied by all Rabun Gap athletics.
Campers will participate in activities such as soccer, lacrosse, tennis, speed and agility, golf, kickball, wiffle ball, flicker ball, track and field events, and others! In addition to the number of sports and skills we’ll enjoy, we will also take full advantage of the indoor pool and lakefront here at Rabun Gap. We will cap the fun-filled week of competition and learning with a parent expo “Olympics” style event on Friday to show all our families the growth and learning of our campers.

The Rabun Gap Basketball Camp is ideal for young athletes eager to improve their basketball skills in a fun and encouraging environment.
Campers will participate in a variety of activities focused on fundamental skills such as dribbling, shooting, passing, and defensive tactics. Our experienced coaches will provide personalized instruction to help players enhance their technique and build confidence on the court. Through interactive drills, games, and friendly competitions, campers will not only improve their skills but also learn the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.

Soccer Camps
Kick off your summer with the Rabun Gap Soccer Camp! This coed camp is designed for soccer players of all skill levels who are entering Kindergarten through 6th grade. The focus will be on enhancing ball-handling skills, passing, and shooting. Each day of the camp will provide a fun, friendly, and skill-focused environment where young athletes can develop their soccer abilities.

Each day will include skill-building activities, teamwork exercises, and friendly scrimmages to apply what they’ve learned. Kidz Bop Dance Camp
Unleash your inner Pop Star with the ultimate KidzBop Dance Camp where the beats are groovy and the dance floor is buzzing with energy!
This dance camp is specially crafted for those who are interested in learning ballet, jazz and hip hop. This camp is led by Rabun Gap dance instructor Ms. Kimmie Gee. Ms. Kimmie brings over 20 years of instruction, performance, choreography, and production. Most notably, she was dance captain to Grammy Award-winning artist Beyoncè Knowles for over a decade and has performed live on some of the biggest stages in entertainment. Join us for an unforgettable week of dance filled with music, movement and memories! Dance experience is not necessary.

Broadway Dance Camp
At Broadway Dance Camp, dancers will experience a taste of life as a performing artist in New York City.
Participants will deepen their understanding of Broadway dance history, enhance their proficiency in ballet and classic jazz techniques, and receive valuable feedback through a mock audition. A showcase for parents featuring the styles learned throughout the week will be held at the camp’s conclusion!

Campers will learn new skills, explore their imaginations, and bring home unique creations they’ll be proud to show off. By the end of the week, your camper will have a collection of handmade treasures and memories of an unforgettable week at camp. All supplies are provided—just bring your creativity and a big smile!

We recommend that campers wear older clothes and sturdy tennis shoes, as most of the activities will take place outside, resulting in a fun and messy experience!

Become a part of Rabun Gap’s signature circus arts program at camp this year!
Campers will learn a variety of skills using fabric, lyra, and trapeze. They will be introduced to creative climbing techniques and practice various body shapes, focusing on poses that involve single and double foot locks. Under the guidance of Terri Manoogian, the Circus Instructor at Rabun Gap, the training will be tailored to each camper’s ability level, ensuring a safe and appropriate progression. It’s important for campers to understand that everyone has different levels of experience and capability, so not all campers will be working on the same skills.

DramaQuest Camp
DramaQuest Camp will focus on the basics of acting. We will explore fundamental acting concepts to foster creativity and build confidence.
This camp will celebrate the small things--making eye contact when speaking, standing tall, and speaking clearly in front of others. Children will begin to use their bodies to tell stories, as they complete various movement games. We will also practice techniques to project voices clearly and with emotion. Finally, children will engage in activities to build improvisation skills--all while HAVING FUN!

Attention all violin, viola, cello, and bass players! Join us for a week of musical excitement at Orchestra Fiddle Camp!
Each day, you’ll engage in fun music games while rehearsing a fiddle tune and a classical piece for an offcampus performance at the Dillard Bluegrass Festival at the end of the week. This camp is open to students rising from 2nd to 8th grades, and participants should have at least one year of experience on their instrument. Campers are encouraged to bring their own instruments, though a limited number are available for borrowing if needed. Come make music and share the joy of playing with your fellow musicians!

ABC Art Camp
Join Rabun Gap Early Learning teachers for this fun and exciting multi-sensory approach to writing our letters.
Using the Orton Gillingham method, this is a handson scientifically based form of learning how to write and learn letter sounds. Proper letter formation is an essential part of early childhood education. When taught in sequential order through multi-sensory activities, students can remember how to form letters neatly and smoothly. Letter identification and lettersound correspondence will also be explored during camp. This camp is open to all students going into PreK4, Kindergarten, and 1st grades.

Introducing Gap Explorers Camp, where campers will enjoy an authentic summer day camp experience on the stunning campus of Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School!
Campers will be divided into small groups to experience many of the best activities Rabun Gap has to offer such as swimming in the indoor pool, exploring the newly built outdoor sports facilities—featuring beach volleyball, basketball, and pickleball—and having a blast on the playground. Plus, they’ll get creative with fun arts and crafts activities. With a different schedule each day, there’s always something new and exciting to look forward to!
During the week of June 16-20, join us for an exciting adventure on the middle school campus! Campers will be divided into small groups for: Outdoor Adventures on the sports fields; Friendly competition in the gaga ball pit and on the outdoor basketball court; Indoor Fun in the air-conditioned gym; and water play activites!

Outdoor Adventure Camp
During our Outdoor Adventure Camp, campers will be fully immersed in nature as they explore both land and water environments.
They will have opportunities for swimming and engaging in a variety of activities designed to enhance their outdoor experience. On land, campers will challenge themselves with team-building exercises, low ropes courses, scavenger hunts, and orienteering activities. Each camp day will be filled with exciting field games, laughter, and a touch of outdoor education, ensuring a memorable and action-packed adventure for everyone!
WHALE stands for Water Habits Are Learned Early. WHALE Tales lessons teach children about water safety in different environments, such as pools, waterparks, oceans, lakes and rivers. It addresses potential water hazards that may be present around the home and community. To help keep campers engaged, discussions are complemented by entertaining videos, helpful visuals, fun activities and more. This camp is led by our Lower School PE teacher and certified lifeguard Melissa Casebolt.
