• The Beavs have lost four straight and are trying to get their offense back on track. QB Ben Gulbranson got his first start last week against San Jose State. He threw for 292 yards and led the offense to 474 yards, but three turnovers limited them to just 13 points.
• Air Force struggles offensively – averaging 292.7 yards per game (last in the MWC). They also rank last in the MWC in points (16.2 per game).
FRIDAY
// 8 PM CT // FOX
• Two of the many current or former Pac12 teams trying to get to Bowl Season.
UCLA is hot, winning 3 in a row to get into bowl contention. In their past five games, the Bruins have improved defensively on their season average by 3.4 points and 38 yards per game. In their last three games, they have elapsed their offensive output by 96 yards and 9 points per game.
• UW has lost three of their last four games against tough competition (losses to Iowa, Indiana and Penn State / win against USC). They have the best pass defense in the Big Ten (150 yards per game).
SATURDAY // 11 AM CT // ESPN2
• Two of the teams vying for the American's top spot.
• Tulane's only two losses of the season came to Kansas State and Oklahoma, and the Green Wave has been pounding teams lately. They have won seven straight since the Oklahoma loss – outscoring teams 312 (44.6 per game) to 119 (17 per game). Tulane ranks 6th in points scored (41.0 per game).
• After back-to-back losses, Navy got back in the win column with a 28-7 win over South Florida. The Midshipmen lean on their running game, which ranks 5th in the country (259.1 yards per game).
SATURDAY // 3 PM CT // FOX
• Both of these teams are trying to get to Bowl Season and are making big changes this week to try to get them there.
• USC is changing QBs – moving to UNLV transfer QB Jayden Maiava. The sophomore had 3,085 yards, 17 TDs and 10 INTs last season at UNLV.
• Nebraska brought in former Houston HC (2022 Indy Bowl winner) Dana Holgorsen as their offensive coordinator this week. The Cornhuskers started the season strong with freshman QB Dylan Raiola, but they now rank in the bottom half of the B1G in offensive yards and points.
