Each day, the most prestigious chefs will propose a surprising trip through their culinary universes by offering unique and one of a kind menus. Everything has a place in these gastronomic days: from the innovation of MACARENA DE CASTRO up to the kabuki cuisine of RICARDO SANZ, passing through the healthy cuisine of JOSE CARLOS GARCÍA or the traditional Galician cuisine brought by PEPE SOLLA, all this without forgetting XAVIER PELLICER’s freshness.

Tras dar sus primeros pasos en el mundo de la cocina española tradicional, la faceta culinaria de Ricardo Sanz da un giro de 180º cuando conoce a Masao Kikuchi, chef y propietario del famoso TOKIO TARO, ya desaparecido.

After giving his first steps in the world of the Spanish traditional cuisine, Ricardo Sanz’s culinary facet gives a turn of 180º when he meets Masao Kikuchi, chef and owner of the famous TOKYO TARO, now disappeared.

Junto a Kikuchi, Sanz aprende los secretos de la cocina nipona. Es en 2000 cuando abre en Madrid el restaurante KABUKI, llegando a convertirse en el primer restaurante de cocina extranjera de la capital que logra una estrella Michelin.

Together with Kikuchi, Sanz learns the secrets of the Japanese cuisine. In 2000 he opens in Madrid the KABUKI restaurant, which will be the first Spanish capital’s foreign cuisine restaurant tio achieve a Michelin star.

Desde entonces se ha consolidado lo que se conoce como la cocina kabuki, con proyectos en diferentes hoteles y aeropuertos, entre los que destacan el KABUKI WELLINGTON (Madrid) y el ABAMA KABUKI (Tenerife), ambos con una estrella Michelin cada uno. Su trabajo ha sido reconocido con nueve soles Repsol.

Since then, the kabuki cuisine has managed to gain a lot of field, with projects in different hotels and airports. The KABUKI WELLINGTON (Madrid) and ABAMA KABUKI (Tenerife), both with a Michelin star, are clear examples of this growth. Sanz’s work has been recognized with nine Repsol suns.

JOSÉ CARLOS GARCÍA

José Carlos García Malagueño de cuna, José Carlos García inicia su andadura en las principales escuelas andaluzas para asumir la dirección del CAFÉ DE PARÍS, donde conseguirá en menos de un año su primera estrella Michelin gracias a su continua búsqueda de nuevos sabores.

Born in Malaga, Jose Carlos García begins his path in the most known Andalusian schools. Later he will take the direction of CAFÉ DE PARÍS, obtaining in less than a year his first Michelin star due to his continuous search of new flavours.

En pocos años, García se convierte en el embajador por excelencia de la gastronomía de la Costa del Sol, llevando sus recetas por todo el mundo y participando en innumerables eventos internacionales.

En 2011 abre en el puerto de Málaga el restaurante que lleva su nombre, JOSÉ CARLOS GARCÍA, un espacio en el que se funden cocina tradicional e innovación, siendo premiado con una estrella Michelin y dos soles Repsol.

In a few years, García becomes the ambassador by excellency of Costa del Sol’s gastronomy, taking his recipes all over the world and taking part in countless international events.

In 2011 he opens, in the port of Malaga, the restaurant that takes his own name, JOSE CARLOS GARCÍA, a space in where traditional cuisine and innovation are melted, being rewarded with a Michelin star and two Repsol suns.

A los 13 años decidió dedicar su vida a la gastronomía y comenzó su carrera de la mano de grandes maestros como Arzak, Santi Santamaría o Maximin, en cuyo restaurante LE DIAMAND ROSE trabajó durante años.

At the age of 13 he decided to dedicate his life to the gastronomy and began his career by the hand of great mentors such as Arzak, Santi Santamaría or Maximin.

He worked several years at the restaurant LE DIAMAND ROSE, owned by Maximin.

Así, Pellicer estuvo tras los fogones de los principales restuarantes europeos - JACQUES (Niza), LE CARRÉ DES FEUILLANTS (París) o EL RACÓ DE CAN FABES (Barcelona) -, antes de abrir el nuevo ABAC en 2008, en la avenida del Tibidabo de Barcelona, con el que consiguió dos estrellas Michelin.

This way, Pellicer was behind the kitchens of the main European restaurants - JACQUES (Nice), LE CARRÉ DES FEUILLANTS (Paris) or EL RACÓ DE CAN FABES (Barcelona), before opening the new ABAC in 2008, in Barcelona’s Tibidabo avenue, with which he obtained two Michelin stars.

En los últimos años Pellicer ha apostado por la gastronomía ecológica y biológica, con productos de próximidad en los que destacan las paellas y arroces, los entrantes y las tradicionales tapas.

In the last years, Pellicer bet for an ecological and biological gastronomy, with fair trade products where dishes like paellas and rice, starters and the traditional tapas stand out.

PEPE SOLLA

Pepe Solla Solla es en la actualidad uno de los máximos exponentes de la cocina gallega gracias a una interesante cocina tradicional y creativa llevada a cabo desde CASA SOLLA, el restaurante que heredó de sus padres y que ha encumbrado hasta el virtuosismo culinario gracias a sus tentadoras propuestas.

Nowadays, Solla is one of the maximum exponents of the Galician cuisine due to an interesting traditional and creative cuisine carried out from CASA SOLLA. He inherited this restaurant from his parents and managed to take it to the highest standards thanks to his appealing proposals.

De Castro se incorpora al restaurante familiar EL JARDÍN DE MALLORCA como ayudante de cocina, momento en el que comienza una meteórica carrera que le llevará a conocer de los grandes maestros (Arzak, Aduriz o Adrià, entre otros) los procesos más vanguardistas de elaboración de platos, lo que constituye la clave de su posterior trabajo.

De Castro joins the family restaurant EL JARDÍN DE MALLORCA as a kitchen assistant. Moment in which begins an amazing career that will lead her to meet the big influences (Arzak, Aduriz or Adrià, among others). In addition, she learned the most avant-garde processes of food elaboration, which constitutes the key of her later work.

En la actualidad está considerada la gran innovadora de la cocina mediterránea desde su restaurante del Puerto de Alcudia (Mallorca) y su trabajo ha sido galardonado con una estrella Michelin.

Nowadays she is considered the great innovator of the Mediterranean cuisine from her Alcudia’s Port restaurant (Majorca) and her work has been awarded with a Michelin star.

Se trata de una cocina en la que se mezclan técnicas culinarias antiguas y modernas, con una clara apuesta por los productos locales sin renunciar al vanguardismo, tradición y artesanía, lo que hace de sus platos auténticas obras maestras.
