Pick Rinse

Find local strawberries in season JUNE-JULY at farmers markets or pick your own farms. By picking your own you’ll pay less and have fun in the process. Ripe strawberries should have a darker color, be plump, firm and have a strong, pleasant strawberry aroma.

Strawberries From plant to freezer

If using within a FEW DAYS, store strawberries in the FRIDGE, in a single layer, on a paper towel lined container, lightly covered. Use within a week, at most.

Rinse strawberries ONLY just before eating or using to prevent mold formation.

Store

Dry Hull

GENTLY dry the strawberries in a towel.

Freeze

Remove the leaves by cutting around the top of the strawberry with the tip of a knife.

Freeze hulled strawberries in a single layer on a baking sheet or other flat surface. After a few hours, transfer the frozen strawberries to a freezer bag. Use within 6 MONTHS.
