One of the key features will be the local ceramics market upstairs above the clay shed.
Featuring work from 10 Waikato potters bringing together an eclectic mix of functional cups, plates, vases as well as jewellery and small art pieces, this is a great opportunity to sample the work of some passionate, imaginative and innovative potters.
Alice Eddington is a master with glaze formulas and makes gravity defying handbuilt functional ware.
Bing ceramics will have a collection of hand carved keep cups and mugs available as well as terracotta face planters.
Mr Potter makes gas fired functional ware for degustation and special menus, and has a limited selection of mugs, vases and plates available.
Holly Cahill is queen of the jug mug, and will have butter dishes and mugs available.
Aysh Geros painstakingly burnishes, draws and slip colours her surfaces, and her functional works are art pieces imbued with a joyful sense of irony.
Pilar makes earrings with almost edible looking glazes.
Kimba Alison Ceramics has gorgeous classic pastel creations which will elevate any meal.
Bay Belle has a selection of character vases and jewel toned tiny dishes. Her work is super playful and delightfully tongue-in-cheek.
Check out these and other potters work, make a house or a T-Rex for a dream community art project, paint a bowl, try the wheel, or join the clay-lympics at 10am.
Head out the back of the Old School this Saturday to mess with mud and enjoy clay in all its forms..
