A
fter a delightful day and a
vibrant sunset, the night welcomed us with a picturesque scenery-with the twinkling stars, the lively mall road, the scattered lights on the hill and the moonlight shower on the lake. A walk on the mall road. Along the Naini lake brightens up anyone’s mood no matter how tiring the day must have been with the colourful shops, the street food aroma, the vendor’s voices and restaurants bustling with tourists. Having seen the moon rise up to the hill’s pinnacle, it was now time to have some fun, so renting out some bicycles and zooming across the mall road seemed to have been the best option. Echoing laughter and a rejoicing mood while breathing in the fresh air as it tickles the skin and blows away the hair makes this event one to surely indulge in. After a thorough discussion of the day’s happenings at the hotel with the professor which ended up being a delightful bonding time. With the first day in Nainital covered up, it was light’s out time even though the eyes remained open to watch the twinkling dark night sky.

Sweet delicacies at
Sakley’s After the memorable boating experience, we reached up to one of the oldest restaurants in town known for its cakes and pastries. Situated just above Mall road in the ground floor of a British building, Sakley’s is well known among the locals. It’s a peaceful place to have meetings, get together and birthday parties. The lovely ambience and good food gives you the clean, hygienic and rustic vintage feel . It’s a little expensive but the best place to satisfy the cravings of your sweet tooth.

BIDDING ADIEU Having spent two days of bliss among the rolling hills, the day of departure finally arrived. Honouring the trip one last time , the group indulged in some of the local cuisines for breakfast. One of the most rejuvanating dishes called the thukpa was enough to start the day with anew. Touring the tibetan markets and ringing the solemn bells of naini temple one last time,it was finally time to head towards the bus station. Once again walking along the lake on the mall, memorizing each step and every bout of laughter, the entourage finally aboared the bus. With one heavy look towards the hills and an everlasting gaze of the naini lake, the bus slowly descended the hill thereby departing from the lake city of uttarakhand.

CONCLUSION Indulging within the serene environment of Nainital gives quite a break from the tedious lifestyle that we endure day to day. The tour gives an insight into the different types of cultures, traditions and architectural styles that differ from place to place. Strolling about the gravel pathways with the lake views , lush greenery and bustling markets filled a void that was much needed. Not only did the tour refresh the minds but also set about a positive vibe among the class. It helped relinquish our knowledge in the field and widen our perspectives on designing. It opened new ways into thinking and exploring new areas of imagination. The tour also created an urge and love for traveling and discovering new places and pushing past our boundaries. In short, the tour provided us with insights that the books, classrooms and courses fail to cover up. It was a memorable journey and an experience that gave us many memories to go by.
