Sambit Banerjee | Managing Director, Rolling Stock & Customer Services Siemens Mobility Limited

As business unit lead, Sambit oversees the delivery of new train fleets such as the Piccadilly Line trains as part of the Deep Tube Upgrade Programme, delivered Thameslink, Eurostar and South West Trains. He is also responsible for maintenance, modifications and upgrades of existing fleets such as the Trans Pennine, West Midlands , South West Trains and the development Siemens Mobility’s new train manufacturing facility at Goole.

Mary Grant | CEO, Porterbrook

Mary joined Porterbrook in 2017 and has over 24 years’ experience working in the UK and international transport sector. Previous roles include leading Eurostar’s new fleet introduction and business change programme, managing director new business development at National Express, divisional managing director, bus and rail at FirstGroup and managing director ScotRail. She has a proven track record of improving operational performance and delivering financial success as well as driving positive culture change within organisations.

Mark Hopwood | Interim Managing Director, South Western Railway

Mark has been leading South western Railway since January 2020. He was seconded in to SWR from sister company GWR, where he has held the position of Managing Director since 2008. Over his 30-year railway career, Mark has worked in both front line and more strategic roles, covering periods with BR, Thames Trains, Railtrack, First North Western, c2c, WAGN, Silverlink Trains and Gatwick Express.

Philip Hoare | President, Atkins & Chair, Rail Supply Group

Philip is President of Atkins, SNC-Lavalin’s Engineering, Design & Project Management sector. He is a highly respected leader in the UK market having worked on behalf of the UK Government and the industry to develop a new Sector Deal for rail as part of the government’s Industrial Strategy. Philip has also held a number of positions across the industry including roles on the Boards of the Railway Industry Association, the Rail Supply Group, the Defence Growth Partnership and the National College of High Speed Rail.

Anna Delvecchio |Development Director - Transportation UK & Europe, Mott MacDonald

Anna started her professional journey as an apprentice. In her 25-year career since then, she has rapidly risen through the ranks holding several senior commercial, development and programme management roles. Anna co-led the transport industry’s coordinated response to the Government’s industrial strategy, in the form of an ambitious Sector Deal for the rail sector, which was successfully secured in December 2018.

Darren James | Chief Executive Officer, Keltbray Group

Darren James was appointed Chief Executive of the Keltbray Group in April 2020. Prior to this he was an Executive Director of Costain Group PLC from 2007 as Managing Director of the £1.2bn Infrastructure Division for over 10 years and latterly as the Chief Operating Officer for the Costain Group. In addition to overall P+L responsibility for the Groups operations he held specific responsibility at the Executive Board for Safety, Health and Environment and Chaired the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Board.
