Andrew Haines OBE | Chief Executive, Network Rail
Andrew was appointed as Chief Executive and Board member of Network Rail in August 2018. Andrew has refocussed the organisation to become one that is on the side of passengers and freight users; that is easy to engage with and is an efficient and dependable partner; a company people are proud to work for; instinctively recognised as an industry leader. Prior to joining Network Rail, Andrew served as Chief Executive of the Civil Aviation Authority after a wide-ranging career in the rail industry, which included roles as Managing Director of South West Trains, and Managing Director of the Rail Division for First Group plc.

David Tonkin | Chairman, Railway Industry Association
David has held a series of senior financial and business leadership posts in a number of different industries. His last permanent executive role was CEO of Atkins UK and Europe, the UK’s largest engineering consultancy providing excellent engineering services to a large range of industries. Since stepping down in August 2015 he has been focusing on building a non-executive portfolio. David is currently Chairman of the Railway Industry Association where he has previously served as a council member and/or Chairman over an eight-year period.
