Meet your Conference Moderator Paul Clifton | Transport Correspondent, BBC Paul Clifton is a broadcaster and writer on transport issues. He has been the BBC’s transport correspondent for southern England for 26 years and has appeared across all BBC news outlets. He is a frequent contributor to Rail, Rail Review and other publications, and has won all the major awards in his field. Paul is a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, and of the Institution of Highways and Transportation, as well as being a Chartered Geographer. Meet your RIA Chief Executive Darren Caplan | Chief Executive, Railway Industry Association Darren joined RIA as Chief Executive in January 2017. Since then he has led the RIA team, with a mission to promote rail supply sector growth, increase RIA’s visibility amongst political and stakeholder decision makers and influencers, and ensure RIA develops into the very best trade association it can be for its members. In July 2018, RIA won the Trade Association Forum’s Conference of the Year.
