PRODUCTS

To ensure that our customers receive consistent, good quality products and services our supply chain is either ISO 9000 certified or we encourage our suppliers to follow these practices to ensure quality management systems are in place.

By manufacturing high-quality garments that last for years to come, products are kept out of landfills and reduces the need to purchase replacement products. As a result, we can confidently back our garments with a 3 Year Warranty.

Our high standards ensure that the products and services we provide consistently meet customer requirements, and that quality is consistently improved. Wherever possible we use recycled content to reduce landfill waste opposed to the use of virgin raw materials. We set expectations with our fabric mills and dye houses to take action where possible to reduce the potential harmful environmental impacts of chemicals. We ensure that carcinogenic dyes are not used in the production of our products â&#x20AC;&#x201C; we encourage and influence our suppliers to have a certificate of conformity from Oeko-Tex which demonstrates that the fabric has been tested and conforms to their standards for harmful substances. We provide assurance of animal welfare through using high quality synthetic fills and faux fur on our garments.

Whenever possible we use sustainable innovation as a part of the development of new products. By working with suppliers that make high-quality materials and goods we are conscientious of reducing our environmental and social impact

PACKAGING AND DELIVERY We ensure that all polybags used in the packaging of our products are recyclable. All hangers we use are recyclable. By reducing waste through packaging innovation, without compromising on our strict quality control and product manufacturing requirements. We follow a strict QC process in line with AS 1199.12003 and consistently maintain a major fault rate of less than 1% across all products that we manufacture. Our QC team inspect goods at each stage of the manufacturing process from the initial sample, fabric, pre production, start up, inline, pre-shipping and upon delivery here in Australia.

That’s why we rigorously test all of our fabrics to ensure we’re giving you the right information. Rainbird is an Australian company, that’s why we always test to Australian standards. But don’t worry, we know how confusing the ratings can be when you’re out and about shopping for that perfect weatherproof item. But it’s always worth asking the question: which country is that rating adhering to? Otherwise you’ll never get a true evaluation of the product in hand.

As an approximate comparison, check out the below waterproof ratings for the exact same piece of fabric we tested: Australian and New Zealand Standards = 10,000mm Japan Industry Standards = 20,000mm

So always remember to ask which countries ratings have been used! The higher the number doesn’t always mean the better the performance if you’re comparing varying standards.

SINEAD HANLEY OUR COLLABORATION ARTIST FOR 2020 Sinead Hanley is a talented and creative illustrator, surface designer and graphic designer based in Melbourne, Australia. Inspired by nature and Australia’s unique flora and fauna, Sinead brings together colour and imagination, with a splash of texture to create her mesmerising illustrations and designs.

COLLABORATION RANGE

Growing up in the Darling Ranges of Western Australia, Sinead was forever surrounded by bush, wide-open spaces and an artistic community which she credits to helping her shape her career. Creating bush cubbies or making mud creek ‘sculptures’ where all a part of a normal day while growing up and its clear to see that Sinead’s love of nature still flows through into all aspects of her works. In our latest collaboration, Sinead focuses on the narrative of the Below in her imaginative and individual style. By looking under the sea (below), we step into a beautiful and colourful world of busy and beautiful aquatic life that highlight the unique and enchanting spirit of Australia.
