introduction

00 | OLDE ENGLISH 800

The Olde English brand was known for its tasty yet strong and powerful beer. The brand centered itself on the idea of bringing a strong beverage that will appeal to all and standout from the rest. The brand reached its peak between 1987 and 1993 when it produced 1,975,000 making it the biggest brand by volume. The Olde English brand took a downward spiral in the 2000’s when its started to extend the brand into different styles of the famous beer. We have rebranded Olde English in a impactful way by bringing the community together through empowerment and strengthening their beliefs to see what is truly possible for them.

VISUAL STANDARDS GUIDE | 09

new logo identity The final logo was achieved by connecting the two E’s from the end of the word Olde and the beginning of the word English. The connecting E’s also represent the connection of the community in which our brand is about. Creating the logotype of the symbol we wanted the typeface to be both modern and powerful. We chose both Avenir Next Ultra Light and Avenir Next Bold for the new logotype of the brand. The combination of the two typefaces work well together to provide contrast but also a similarity to not distract too much from the overall look of the logo.
