Good Practices for College Fairs • Be friendly. First impressions go a long way. • Stay behind your table. • Don’t call out to students, they will come to you. • No giveaways. Pens are good, but no candy, key chains, etc. • Honesty is the best policy. If you don’t know the answer to a question, that’s ok, just refer the student or parent to our admissions team. • Don’t talk on your cell phone at the table. • And of course have fun sharing your Ramapo experience with future students!
PHONE-A-THONS • Contacting Accepted Students in Your Area/Field of Study • Answering Questions or Concerns • Sharing Personal Experiences and Future Outcomes • Asking where the student ranks Ramapo among their potential schools • Making contacts with the students as some one they can reach out to.
