Proyecto Institucional: “Los primeros 50 años de la Escuela” Cuando nos invitaron a sumarnos al Proyecto Institucional desde las diferentes áreas, lo primero que pensé fue ¿De qué manera podemos conectar el pasado con el presente a través de la materia de Idioma Extranjero? El objetivo era lograr un trabajo atractivo primero para los alumnos y luego para los futuros lectores siempre dentro de su conocimiento y uso del idioma. Fue entonces que junto con la facilitadora pedagógica de la Escuela, Julia Pazos, fuimos pensando en una pequeña revista digital, donde los alumnos pudieran describir, a través de investigaciones, fotos, y lecturas del Anuario del Colegio, cómo los orígenes edilicios de la Escuela fueron mutando en las actuales instalaciones. Para ello, trabajamos con los dos séptimos, subdividiéndolos en grupos de trabajo. Cada grupo sacó fotos, de aquello que consideraban más relevante, otros, consiguieron fotos antiguas de la inauguración y primeros tiempos de la escuela, y poco a poco, clase tras clase, fueron dándole forma a sus descripciones. Esta revista es el resultado de dos meses de intensa búsqueda y dedicación al trabajo en conjunto, poniendo el uso del idioma al servicio de ello. Podemos decir: ¡OBJETIVO CUMPLIDO! Espero les guste.

OUR SCHOOL “jOSÉ MARÍA RAMOS MEjÍA” 98 YEARS
The School: “Now and then” The school was bigger than now: T h e r e w a s a l a b o r a t o r y, a k i o s k , a s ta t i o n a r y a n d a t h e a t r e r o o m . In the yard there were more plants.
The School clubs and the Prom Trip There were theatre and science clubs after school time. At the end of the year, Seventh form used to go camping for a week or two.
The ballroom became the music room. The present library is on the second floor, where there was a museum and the former library was where now is the Fifth form classroom. *The former library
MY OLD SCHOOL The school was built in 1914. In our school, on the first floor there was a museum, a party room, a school council room and a yard. On the ground floor, there was a yard and in the yard there were plants, trees and a stage. There was a laboratory, in it there was a science club. And there was a kiosk. The school was located on the corner of 33 street and San Carlos street. Today 33 street has become Treinta y Tres Orientales and San Carlos is Don Bosco street.
The school today The school is enormous. There are 17 classrooms including kindergarden and 4 more for special subjects: There is a library, a music room, a dancing room and a computer room . The library is medium size: it has 3 windows ,7 cabinets and the door to enter and exit. Inside, there are 5 tables. In the music room: there is a piano and a big window and there are some musical instruments in a closet. The music classroom is opposite the library. The dance room: is very, very big. It has 7 windows, a closet full of suits and much more, microphones and loudspeakers. Next to the yard there is a big kitchen and the yard is big, too. On the ground floor near the entrance hall, there is a staff room, a head office and some classrooms for kindergarden and primary.
Our school today Jose Maria Ramos Mejia is located on the corner of Treinta y Tres Orientales Street and Don Bosco Street. It is 98 years old. My school has got a big yard and a small canteen. Next to the yard, there is a sports facilities room with all the necessary elements for PE classes. On the ground floor there are two offices, one computer room, a computer lab, a teacher's room, two toilets, two classrooms for first form and three kindergarden classrooms. There is one small art room. On the first floor, there are twelve classrooms, one big music room opposite a small library, one big dancing room and two toilets.
MY SCHOOL My School Is big. On the ground floor there are five classrooms: an art room, two classrooms for first form and three kindergarden rooms. And on the first floor there are 12 classrooms for 2nd to 7th forms, there is one library, a music room, a dance hall a theatre room and three toilets.
