We are really excited about this year’s Red Angus offering in the TXLE Sale, and we thought selling choice of these two Firestorm x Lana full sibs would be a great way to start. The Firestorm daughters have had great value and success over the past couple of years. Firestorm coupled with the great Whitestone Lana cow is a mating not only made for winning shows but also for making serious donor females after their show careers are over. Lana has long been considered the “poster child” of the Red Angus breed. She has a unique combination of jaw-dropping phenotype and a tremendous EPD profile. Maternal sibs to Lots 1A and 1B include the popular sire PZC TR Red Zone and the $16,000 Grand Champion Female of the 2015 Ozark Empire Fair. Like their dam, both of these Lana daughters are beautifully made when viewed from any angle. They are also very sound on the move as well. We are offering choice and selling both of these females.

Beauty and perfection in one complete female! This striking sale feature is built to impress from the side, offers added shape and power, and is sound structured. Her center rib and dimension are the essence of function and cow power. To complement this, she is stout made and wide based and blends champion caliber design with donor cow potential. This female is sure to be a favorite of many and destined to bring home the purple! Jason, Jennie and Neal feel this one might be the best they have raised to date out of Shalena. The sire of Dazzle, Justified, is the black baldy full brother to Houston, the Simmental bull that has set the bar for siring champions. He also offers the maternal aspects of Meyer, Dream On and Black Jade. We know what kind of cows the Houston daughters have made and expect the same from the Justified progeny. This top show and donor prospect should make the front pasture after a successful show career. Dazzle is a maternal sister to the $21,000 selection of Kayden Joe Tanner from the October 2015 TXLE Sale that has gone on to be a many-time champion.

Femininity with extra style is what you get in Destiny 635D. She ties a long neck high into her shoulder and blends smooth from there into a deep, full rib. Her brood cow value is enhanced by her rib shape and functional design. In addition to her attractive profile and show ring appeal, this baldy female offers a balanced set of genetic strengths to complement her visual advantages. Destiny is one of Jason’s and Jennie’s favorites—not only due to her phenotype but also due to her disposition. Great for any age showman. She is sired by Endeavor, the full brother to all of the great Houston x Uptown females that have sold through the TXLE sales and have been campaigned successfully by some of the nation’s top exhibitors. I’m Yours has been a crowd favorite at Pembrooks’. This heifer has all the right parts and pieces to be a great one both in and out of the show ring. She seems to have just the right amount of bone, muscle, volume and femininity to complement her from any angle she is viewed from. We also love her great color pattern along with her overall soundness on her feet and legs. I’m Yours is not only good on the outside, she also has the genetics that make her bred for purple. Her dam was a many-time champion for Taylor Goering in Kansas, and her sire, Comfort Zone, is quickly becoming one of the best young sires in the Maine-Anjou breed. See his picture on page 15. I’m Yours offers a great opportunity to buy a female that can do well at shows while adding unmatched future donor potential to your herd as well.

This flashy heifer is a favorite of Les’s as well as many others who have seen the Double Bar L offering. Visually, she combines the balanced look needed for show ring success, but most importantly she offers the type of center body volume sought after by all in today’s industry. Miranda blends functionality with presence and flare all her own. She is sure to bring home some banners and a great return on investment. We think there is very little guesswork in these three full sisters selling as Lots 9A, 9B and 9C. They are sired by I-80 and out of the winningest and best producing donor in the Standridge family herd, Steel Miss 308X, whose most popular win was likely being named Supreme Champion Female at the Oklahoma Youth Expo in 2012. In four short years, this halfblood Simmental female has produced countless winners and generated over $200,000 in income; most importantly, her daughters are becoming major donor cows for the operations that have entered. As you can see by their pictures, each of these full sisters offered is very unique in her own way. All three, with proper care, are capable of winning shows at any level. Be sure to check out this trio on sale day.

PCC Lenore is one of the really good heifers in this year’s offering and also one of the very first females by Matador to sell. Lenore has all the right pieces to make her highly competitive at any level. When set in motion, she can get out and move with complete soundness and look really good doing it. Then when stopped and viewed from the side, this female has an impressive outline as well. She’s level hipped, deep sided, nice fronted and wide based when viewed from behind. PCC
Here’s one of the really good females in the PCC offering that just so happens to be a Hereford. This April heifer calf is loaded with eye appeal. She has a gorgeous, slender front end coupled with great length of side, good rib shape and a perfect hind leg set, making her a true “attention getter” when viewed on the profile. Violet comes from the heart of the Stierwalt program. Her donor dam, H RW Lady Advance 1124 ET, was selected by Ky from the 2011 Ladies of the Royal Sale as one of the top sellers. Bred by Hoffman Ranch in Nebraska and Ward Ranches in Oklahoma, 1124 has been a very consistent producer since her successful show career. If you like them good, here’s a must see.

This Hereford female is a definite sale highlight for PCC this year. She is bred in the purple…very similar to the 2016 Grand Champion Hereford Female at Fort Worth that we sold in the 2014 TXLE Sale to Kiley Klas and K and S Cattle. Lady 2D911 has the look of a champion. Big boned, big hipped, extremely deep centered and sound on the move, all tied into a very feminine, maternal brood cow look when viewed from the side. We like this one a bunch!

Fancy Jewel is a Walks Alone daughter back to one of the great cows in the Zwirn herd in Colorado. This heifer calf has great potential both in the show ring and as a donor after her show career. She is as well rounded as they come in terms of overall soundness, depth of rib and having a killer look with perfect color. She has been a favorite around our place.

Stout boned, big footed and sound really describes this unique colored baldy. The Texas Twister-sired cattle have been very exciting in and out of the show ring. We expect Whirlwind to uphold this tradition.

Electra is put together as good as you can make one. You will admire her for the bone, thickness, rib and just sheer mass that she possesses. For being this powerful, she is still extremely nice necked and, most importantly, sound on the move. Great hair!

Another one of the fantastic Comfort Zone x Monopoly females in the offering. Penny has all the bells and whistles to get her noticed in the show ring. She’s great on her pasterns and sound footed along with being big middled, great haired and zipper fronted. Excellent disposition as well.

We have had great luck with the Unstoppable daughters. The last one we sold was named Reserve Champion Chi at San Antonio for the Valchar family. My Turn should follow suit. This young May heifer calf is near flawless in her design. She’s very sound and functional on the move as well. Don’t miss an opportunity to own this really good heifer calf.

Demi Delight 6104 is a member of one of our most productive cow families at WHR—the 3D family. This family has produced the Cecilias, Demis and Delilahs. They have been competitive at all the major Texas shows, including championships at Fort Worth and Houston as well as at such national shows as Denver and Louisville.
Barbara Ann is a beautiful roan Shorthorn Plus heifer that will be competitive at this winter’s Texas majors in the ORB classes. She is a granddaughter of the Sonny 8114 bull, who has had a positive impact on the Shorthorn breed.
Demi Delight 6104 is correct in her structure, impressive in her stoutness and extremely feminine fronted. See her picture at whrshorthorns.com.
Barbara Ann will be easy to find in the show ring because of her eye appealing shape complemented by her excellent hair coat. See her picture at whrshorthorns.com.
