Andy Lee Thornton Winnie, Texas — 1946– 2018 The ICA family lost two of its beloved members last year. Andy Thornton for many years battled some form of illness, but he never felt sorry for himself or complained; he was too busy living life to its fullest. After Andy retired, he became very involved with ICA and when he took on a job you could be sure that job would be done. People loved working with him as he was a team player. Andy and his wife, Lounette, were married for forty-eight years.
Leonora Anne Schmidt Kuhn Kingsbury, Texas — 1929-2018 The ICA family was saddened to learn of the death of another one of our most ardent supporters. Leonora will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Leonora was a graduate of Seguin High School, class of 1946. For many years, she served as Court Coordinator in Bexar County. She enjoyed ranching and was proud to have served on the Board of Directors for the Independent Cattlemen’s Association of Texas. Leonora loved her life in Kingsbury and spending good times with family, friends, and her pets.

Frank Cavitt on keyboard and vocals plays regularly at Donn’s Depot, Broken Spoke, as well as other venues, including private parties. Frank is also a song writer and has published an album of his songs. Erik Hokkanen on fiddle, guitar and vocals plays regularly at Donn’s Depot and Gruene Hall, among other places. Erik’s music is featured on soundtracks from “Michael”, and “Texas Chainsaw Massacre III”. Erik is a member of the Texas Swing Hall of Fame. Rick Connell is the drummer for the band, and while living in Nashville he played with such greats as Boots Randolph and Chet Atkins. He is well known in the music community. Rick achieved a music degree from North Texas State and taught music for many years. In addition to playing at Donn’s Depot, Rick freelances with other bands. Charlie Irwin plays the electric bass with the rest of the band every Wednesday at Donn’s Depot. Charlie has been a professional musician for 50 years.
