WINTER 2013
Community Launches 2013–2014 Ranney Fund

our school
Thank You Annual Fund Donors from the students of Ranney School! The Ranney Fund has launched with tremendous enthusiasm! Over 300 parents, faculty members, grandparents, Board members and friends have already made generous gifts in these first four months of the school year! Activities to date that have helped inspire this record-breaking participation include the Annual Fund Committee kick-off meeting, Fall Phonathon, Leadership Donor reception, Faculty Participation Challenge, Alumni Hall of Fame event and Homecoming Weekend, the “Ranney Fund: We Love Our School” video debut, along with the Grandparents Day “Sponsor-A-Book” program. Combine all of these elements and Ranney School begins the year strong with remarkable participatory support and over $300,000 raised to date! The Annual Fund Committee is encouraging 100% participation from our parent community. Gifts of all sizes are appreciated and individual
participation demonstrates your belief in our school mission and values. The Ranney Fund Committee is comprised of parents across all divisions and is led by three co-chair families: Michelle and Sam DelPresto–Lower School, Hayley Lehrfeld and Anthony Cafaro–Middle School and Lynn and Bob Parker–Upper School. During this holiday season, Ranney School extends special thanks to our caring community of loyal Ranney Annual Fund supporters. Each gift is appreciated and helps to provide our students and faculty with the most innovative tools and resources needed to cultivate each child’s full potential.
To participate, visit www.ranneyschool.org/ annualfund or use the enclosed envelope.
The Impact of Your Support Delivering a Ranney School education requires considerable resources, and tuition alone does not cover our operating expenses each year. As is true for most independent schools, Ranney’s annual budget is financed through three sources: tuition, investment income and philanthropic support. The Ranney Annual Fund, our annual giving program, contributes a vital measure of the resources we rely on each year to provide our students with extraordinary programs, opportunities and academic instruction. In addition, faculty professional development, financial aid and technology are all areas supported by the Ranney Annual Fund. The pie graph here illustrates the use of the Annual Fund philanthropy during the 2012-2013 school-year:
