The Pelamis range has been designed for the avid angler on a budget, has all the back-bone and blank action to land your fish quickly. The action is well balanced between enough softness to forgive an error but enough power to turn the head of the fish. Fully equipped with guides that require minimum maintenance and an aluminum reel seat and gimbal for strength. The lower line class are a bit longer to allow use of lighter lures whereas 50lbs and up are much more powerful and shorter to finish the fight quickly. From mackerel to bluefin tuna, you will find all the line classes to cover every situation.

The Reef Donkey are made to withstand the most brutal fights. The action of the rod will allow you to control the fish with high drag settings and still allow some “room” when the fish approaches the boat. It’s a fine balance between power and efficiency. Equipped with 2 roller guides where the line has the maximum stress under load. The anatomic grip is not only very comfortable during a long fight, it has a flat area on the front to help to apply the right pressure when you “thumb” the line.
