THE SPANISH DEHESA The Spanish dehesa is a traditional but also up-todate, Mediterranean agrosilvopastoral system. It's one of the most successful and efficient agrosilvopastoral system since it's compatible with nature conservation and sustainable rural development within its environment. We'd like to present you the dehesas and natural environment near our villages: Barcarrota, Salvale贸n y Almendral.


BARCARROTA


We are going to present the natural landscape of Barcarrota

Trees


This is a cork oak It is a medium-sized,evergreen oak tree. It is native to southwest EUROPE and northwest AFRICA. Cork oaks give cork.



This is a holm oak It's a tree with a strong and thick trunk, large cup and round,evergreen and tough dark green leaves.

An acorn is the fruit of holm oaks and cork oaks.


THIS IS AN OLIVE TREE


This is an olive tree Its fruit is the olive. It's a tree with short, thick and twisted trunk and perennial dark green leaves.

Its fruit is the fig. This tree is up to 8 m tall.
