Villa Azzad

Zebegeny_1stYear@BME Autor: Janos Bito

Concept: A Single family house, the 1st design project ever, like an any other student I was excited too, did not know which principle ot follow; should it be “ less is more “ or “ less is Bore “. finally none, and the house became a special one. it is arranged in a single floor with an attach covered parking which later became an strong aesthetic point of my design and played an important rule in the project.

Gellert Train Station

1stYear@BME Space Composition- Autor: Oliver Sales

When architecture meets nature. Continuing the tradition of Frank Lloyd Wright, I believe organic design dose not have to be boring. High end design and environmental responsibility are not mutually exclusive, after all, in the (near) future all buildings will be following organic design and hopefully green! I believe this to be inevitable. Organic architecture describes a way of thinking about design that transcends the common, everyday buildings around us. It is not a “style” but rather an approach to solving design problems, in architecture, a “style“ is a set of repeating elements. A truly organic architecture invents a new solution based on the special conditions of each project.

WIX train station can be a good conceptual model of Compatibility of architecture and nature, the main idea came from the rocks, I tried to keep it as simple and as beautiful as nature itself.

Plans Concept

The concept is coming from a rock which has been stranded. The site is in the deepest point of the village therefore the landscaping is designed somehow to transfer this feeling to the visitors. Long, wide, open and curvy staircase, leading people to a closed, dark and deep space; this contradiction is what I like to have in my works more and more ... And the concept behind the free interior arrangement is coming from set of Caught bubbles!

Teleki Market

Budapest_2ndYear@BME Design Week_ Autor:Zoltan Schrammel

Team members : I & Amir hossein Sirjani

We created a market that reflects a new community in the neighborhood which it is temporarily permanent with the same existing function, based on two main axis to have three different access to the surrounding. A market, that is inspiring to the urban surroundings, to the participants .It acts as a community, data exchange, art and inspiration.

Karloy Music School

Budapest_3rdYear@BME Autor: Zolta nScherammel

Physical Model

Concept: This Complex full fills a serious needs of ‘Fot’ which is a small town on Budapest’s suburb. KMC is a building which contains a performance rooms, library and classrooms. It’s a school to graduate music lovers from beginners to professionals. WALK IN: Design is so that you can walk through the building, its transparent and the length of the whole mass seems shorter than the founction behind it. there are 4 pair of concrete walls with founctions in between.

The site is surrounded by small pitched roof houses , that’s why the concept is to split the mass to few parts and below you see the resultant which gives a harmony between the new building parts and the housing blocks.

Rakospalota Sport Complex

Rakospalota_4thYear@BME Complex Studio _Autor:Zoltan Scherammel

Concept Obviously having a greater area with a huge function needs a different strategy than designing a small size public building. This complex is serving visitors, profession athletics and Amateurs. Concept is to divide the plot to 10m width ribs and place different rooms and functions under each ribs.

Using Stair as a gathering space

The stair is a moment to choreograph an experience and play with the views that open up as the visitor moves up each step. Stairs can snake through a building to guide one along a path, they can be elevated to a piece of roof terrace in the case of Rakospalata sport center. Stairs can be multifunction too as you see at the other end of this complex which is attached to the football field.

Orlay Dormitory Budapest_5thYear@BME MSc.Diploma Poject

On the bank of Bartok Bella street both sides are locked by block of houses and the only path where you can have a look throw these blocks are the streets ,thats totally normal in cities. but when I had a closer look to these blocks I found out that most of the houses are attached together with their own courtyard or with a common courtyard, but there was a single block of attached houses which was semi open due to any reason such as NON accessible, town regulation or lack of investors interest or even bombing during world wars!! This block is located between Orlay, Kemenes and Bartok Bela streets! here is the site I am chosing for designing a dormitory, why dorm? cause of lack of dorm for our school and its limitation and regulation in design procces!

GRAY Zone (Concept) #1 One of the proposals is to open one of the housing blocks which is not build so long ago and has a key role in my Greater urban proposal. Bartok bela 3-7 is a social housing block standing on pair of pillars with a commercial ground floor which can be removed and opened to the future park behind it! Aim of my propose is to bring people inside and relief the huge dead area which is locked by huge blocks all around it!

GRAY Zone (Concept) #3 Other propose is to create a paved, green zone for public, vertical connections, playground, etc... Beside that it can be a nice gathering place for students having their common and individual activities (Sport or educational). There will be connections to Underground parking, trees, benches, green zones such as Aromatic, Leisure and Urban gardens.

GRAY Zone (Concept) #2 Right now the plot is used as a parking space for Gellert hotel, In sequence of my Concept plan, all vehicles should be moved under ground and the most top floor will be used as a green public space! Therefore there will be 2 underground parking levels which can for 250 cars and of course open for public! natural ventilated by using trees and open floors.

Concept: Always Designing Memorial buildings specially war memorial in this case with over 1oo,ooo dead or lost person requires high understanding of their history and situation. We liked it hidden, massive, bight but dark and finally Simple ;as simple as Walls. The concept is to use the landscape and hide a pavilion under a ramp(which was required for handicap people) and create a path by using of 100 memorial wall, there are unknown people but once when we figure out all names hopefully they will be placed on each of these walls. Walls are getting lost in the environment and slowly the buried in the lake which is again designed and been extended from the original lake there. At the opposite side of memorial same walls but less and shorter will be placed in order to give visitor same feeling and let them walk in same environment.

Double facade: The facade contain of 2 layers (double facade) ,1st one is the glaized surface and 2nd one is the nest which gives the organic look to the pavilion; there is 60 cm space between them to be used for maintainings.

Concept: A key element of the ideological assumptions and the proposed concept is to respect the natural and landscape character. The mass is recognized by an organic shape inspiring from bird nest and use of sustainable faรงade material such as wood which will be continued outside the pavillion as well for landscaping for example pavement of the education path, benches and house of Animals.

Lausanne University Library Extension Lausanne2015_Intern@ZviHecker Competition

Concept Since Alexandria books are collected to illuminate the human mind. Libraries are the depository of wisdom and intelligence, now open to all. The design intends to create an atmosphere and environment conducive to the understanding and assimilation of knowledge on all its various levels of interest. The design follow the structural geometry of the existing building to create a variation of spaces for different functions, reading rooms, openshelf spaces, storage, etc.

Relation with the existing building The tectonic rule which generated the Unitheque design by Cocchi is based on two grids, one composed by radial axis and one by concentric arches (radial axis are intersecting concentric arches). It seemed natural to extend this existing structural rule in order to guide and support the evolution of the extension. Consequently, the supporting walls typical of the lower levels and punctual vertical supports for the upper floors are organized according to the inherited geometry. The structure will be in concrete Slab Relation with the natural environment The location of the library is unique for its natural environment. The green of the wood surrounding the area and the beautiful view toward the lake on the south side are unique amenities that should be preserved and at the same time enjoyed by the visitors of the Unitheque. The new construction occupies a relative small amount of the assigned building plot. We took advantage of the possibility to use large underground surfaces for the storage, in order to increase density of the building, and so reduce its foot-print. The stairs-a-like rising profile of a building, with terraces and set-backs, mimics the ascending line of the natural slop of the terrain. The new volumes lay gently and naturally on the hill side. A visual connection toward the natural environment is constantly established from the inside the reading area.

Giessen University Campus Giessen,Germany2015_Intern@ZviHecker competition-2nd stage

Concept: The new building for the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Energy Technology consists of two separate buildings, which combine like a bow on the upper floors with a two-storey bridge. Recesses on the upper levels support this connection and open up the building towards the new campus space. By differentiating in the materiality and the game with unity and transparency a prominent university block is created, respecting the smallness of the master plan and enters through the differentiation of the heights in the two parts of the building as well as positioning of the common areas in a lively dialogue with the new campus space.

Letters of Recommendation

Wrocław, 29.05.2015 Dr. Tomasz Głowacki Founder and Chief Architect At PAG Pracownia Architektury Glowacki ul. Kraszewskiego 12/9, 50-229 Wroclaw, Poland email: glowacki@paglowacki.pl

Letter of Recommendation for MSc. Architect engineer, Rasoul Daryanavard

I am writing in strong support of Mr. Daryanavard’s application for future career and studies. I have had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Daryanavard since March 2015, when he has started an Internship at my office. During this short period I have found him to be a talented, responsible young architect with technical skills and great overall knowledge of architecture. He actively participated in current architectural projects (construction and executive) and three international design contests in Warsaw: the educational pavilion on the Vistula River and the memory wall and the memory pavilion in The Warsaw Insurgents Cemetery and the new building of Polish Television. He has demonstrated great commitment and conscientiousness (while inventiveness) in the performance of tasks. It is worth noting that Mr. Daryanavard has a high technical knowledge in the field of construction solutions and at the same time high architectural and artistic sensitivity. He is completely fluent in current design software such as ArchiCad, AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, and equally good with manual skills of hand drawing. Mr. Daryanavard is a serene and, additionally, a friendly and very easy-going person capable of working by himself or in a group. I am absolutely convinced of high professional skill, talent and personal advantages of Mr.Rasoul Daryanavard therefore I am pleased to recommend him for the future studies. His decision to apply for the Advanced master studies “MAS ETH UD” is a great one as it gives him a chance to learn new concepts in Architecture and especially urban design which is to be his favorite major in Architecture, and I hope this studies further develops his skills. And of course wish him success in his future career either before or after his advanced master studies. Mr. Rasoul Daryanavard has flourished into a successful, outstanding young designer and I am confident that he will succeed in his endeavors. Last but not least, I fully support his job and studies application. Sincerely, Dr. Tomasz Głowacki
