• Rainwater harvesting to collect non-potable water

Hyatt Hangzhou, China conceptual designer

TimHaahs provided both conceptual design and parking consulting services for this below grade structure. The structure serves Hyatt guests and employees, and was in need of repair and maintenance. TimHaahs developed concept designs for restoration and renovation of the facility to both lengthen the useful life of the structure as well as improve the aesthetics and visitor experience.

Wenzhou People’s Square Wenzhou, China conceptual designer

TimHaahs provided conceptual design services for a mixed-use project featuring a significant underground parking structure and a large plaza for recreational use, including a mixture of retail, restaurant and entertainment spaces around the plaza. This design focused on creating public gathering spaces utilizing an attractive outdoor plaza between these major uses.

Bao’an City Design Competition Bao’an City, China conceptual master planner

TimHaahs joined with Huayi Design to compete in an international design competition for a significant mixed-use facility integrating a convention center and entertainment complex and government uses. TimHaahs’ master plan and conceptual design took the 2nd place in the competition. The proposed plan anchored this critical new development with structured parking as well as pedestrian pathways and people spaces to create a vibrant and active destination.

KHT Mixed-Use Project Shenzhen, China conceptual designer

TimHaahs designed the concept for this innovative mixed-use program, featuring both automated parking (mechanized or robotic parking) as well as traditional structured parking. These two parking elements served as the foundation for community and office space, as well as a resource for other local amenities.

“Digital City” ShenJing Square Mixed-Use Project Shenyang, China design architect

For Shenyang Parking Design Management Company, Ltd., TimHaahs provided full concept design for the proposed “Digital City” mixed-use development in Shenyang, China. The purpose of the project was to create an active and vibrant destination for the rapidly developing area. This iconic development incorporates many sustainable design elements to improve the quality of life via this live-work-play center in Shenyang. The implementation of this plan will result in relieving considerable parking shortages, generate activity within the community, and create opportunities for additional development.

Long Mu Bay International Resort City Sanya, Hainan Province, China conceptual designer

TimHaahs is providing design services including functional, architectural, traffic and parking consulting for the proposed Long Mu Bay International Resort City in Sanya, Hainan Province in China. The project includes a mixture of below- and abovegrade parking to serve the resort complex, golf club and adjacent properties, also satisfying the government requirements for a civil defense shelter. Encompassing approximately 1 million square feet, the parking facility will provide over 3000 parking spaces for both self parking and valet operations. It is proposed that the parking structure will be integrated with a monorail transportation system connecting visitors with the rest of the 3,706 acre property.

KOREA

Master Plan for Gang Dong Gu District Seoul, Korea master planner

For Seoul National University, TimHaahs created a master plan and framework for mixed-use development in the Gangdong Gu of Seoul. The project focused on creating self-sustaining communities by reducing traffic, congestion, and parking requirements in an area characterized by vertical sprawl. The plan provides frameworks for development for large transit-oriented developments and smaller town centers, connected by transit and pedestrian pathways. These frameworks capitalize on the existing density in the district, and target reductions in vehicle trips and parking infrastructure, to transform the character of the district and create walkable, dynamic communities.

Songdo City Parking Consulting Services Songdo City, Korea pa r k i n g p l a n n i n g c o n s u lta n t

TimHaahs provided consulting and parking planning services for two mixed-use developments. Working with KlingStubbins, TimHaahs provided functional review, recommendations and consulting for two large blocks of development. These projects included a mixed-use structure with an office tower and ancillary retail over the below grade garage and an underground facility designed to support multiple office towers above.
