with a liner, a black eye shadow or with the other shimmery colors. For this look it‘s ideal to leave the lips natural and in discreet colors.

For example the lips rosy, orange-beige, pink, red, dark-red, berry-red, brown-orange, selectively applied or dabbed with a finger.

As a little highlight... dab some gold pigments on the lip‘s heart. With a suitable type the lips can be colored red for glamour appearances (Please note that this seems very tough but really is not)

Eye Liner

Blurred

To add to the natural look or to maintain a stronger eye make-up. From a fine line to the Amy Winehouse style to the square bar. Apply liner above only, below only, or only at the external corner, two parallel lines or the whole eye encircled... almost everything is allowed – please play and try.

In addition to the selected eyeliners and the fine worked glamour make-up there is an antipole where it‘s allowed to smudge with the fingers and with rough brushes.

The liner is mostly black but as variation it‘s also used to be blue, red, yellow, lila and white. Glamorous shimmery eye shadows The glamorous eye make-ups result from eye shadows which include a lot of shimmer. Colors like the green of a peacock‘s feather, royal-blue, night-blue, cyan, ice-blue plus gold and bronze dominate the shimmery colors. They can be used separately or in combination

The colors are: natural tones, discreet pastel tones in lilac, rose, orange and green plus black and white. One color gets used to smudge... possibly another to get a concerted contrast. Lips discreet .This look requests to be realized carefully.

– A JEAN STORY –

Jeans in search of their roots... When jeans, also known as denim, was first manufactured as a durable and strong sail-cloth for merchant ships in Nimes, France, we are sure that people of Nimes never imagined that the thick and rough fabric they made would be so indispensable. Even Levi Strauss could not imagine this day when he designed pants with this fabric. Of course, many have changed in years, but will jeans renew themselves and return to their starting point? Let’s have a look at the developments and changes in the recent years. In summer 2011, denim returned to its roots: since 2007, Northern European countries have adopted their motto “less is more” to jeans. Skinny fit jeans made of raw denim without any visual effect have created too skinny bodies on the streets, but consumers have given up this trend and prefer more wearable trends now. The 90s are back. Waists are higher, carrot cuts take the hips of both women and men back to their decent days. And retro is back, too. Several Brands are advertising their inky blue jeans again.

Meanwhile in 2011, skinny boot cut jeans were made with glamour style shiny fabrics, and this combination created a tempting style. In summer 2011, flare jeans were trendy, too. However, vintage was the most popular style among jean trends. Combination of faded blue jeans, and ripped and naturally worn jean pants of the 70s, and the “pure rock” style of the 60s made this trend. With the return of the retro trend, the macho look of the 70s in both women and men is back. Tight boot cut pants are favored again by tough guys. Women cut their old jeans and made them hot pants. Hot pants were popular that summer as they were before. Find Your favorite Model now in one of our Colin`s Stores. Watch out for the Jeans Wall.

– Street Style Blogs – Streetstyle – the real fashion aside of the catwalk Back hardly taken serious, streetstyle has developed to an underhand star of the fashion industry. Some insiders of the branch are celebrities and their outfits seminal. An inventory. Streetstyle was a phenomenon of Web 2.0 for years. It began with a handful of bloggers, who took pictures of stylish people from Stockholm, New York or Berlin and published them on self-made websites. But by now streetstyle has rolled up the whole fashion industry and has produced a proper hype within. More than hundreds of bloggers snapshot every model, every fashion editor and every stylishly clothed guest that they got in front of their lenses during the fashion weeks and within seconds posted them onto the net. The trend of streetstyle photography today affects the big fashion designers more then ever. It shows them, what people like to wear in everyday life. Streetstyle has also had a hand in a faster moving way of the fashion industry. Thanks to the streetstyle blogs we are one step ahead but now the designers and the shop assistants are under the gun to get the collections faster to the shops because bloggers spread the newest trends in next to no time on the entire globe. Fashion is no longer taking place only on the catwalk but also on the street – and is available for everyone. Therefore the most popular streetstyle photographers like The Sartorialist, Facehunter or Garance Doré get cuddled by the designers and fashion editors and are sitting in the front row at the big shows, next to the VOGUE‘s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. They receive columns in fashion magazines, get invited as advisers by the fashion designers and by

now they are stars themselves, who are staged by less known fashion bloggers. Streetstyle blogs have become the referee of the fashion industry: The style of the fashion magazines and the fashion advertising has deflected to the streetstyle. Because streetstyle is authentic and therefore congenial for the users. For the fashion designers streetstyle photography has received an inestimable price. It has arranged for fashion to get „real“ again. The newest fashion campaigns of Dolce&Gabbana or Lanvin show normal people in a real context. Scott Schumann alias The Sartorialist once said that one day when he was visiting a designer he discovered a streetstyle picture of himself in Stockholm which the designer used as an inspiration for the new collection. The blogs are an important filter in the world of fashion and arrange the different styles according as cities and scenes. But streetstyle photography could also become a victim of its own success, in which the mass of blogs gets boundless and impends to copy each other. A lot of bloggers try to differ by an own picture language or by references to the past. But one thing is clear: Without streetstyle bloggers the world of fashion wouldn‘t operate anymore – and stars like Kanye West wouldn‘t be as famous if they weren‘t always photographed by bloggers. Streetstyle has made us more stylish because we possibly think a while longer what we‘re going to dress before we leave the house. Eventually we could always run across a fashion blogger, who will hold us for eternity.

The most common streetstyle blogs in the world: Scott Schumann Scott Schumann is the most wellknown fashion blogger in the world, advises big fashion magazines and by now is a celebrity himself. www.thesartorialist.com Yvan Rodic Yvan Rodic is Swiss and has a great eye for creative styles in the big cities of the world. With his camera he catches the most original outfits and has got a high readership. www.facehunter.blogspot.de Granace Doré Garance Doré knows, who creates great outfits inserts them on his blog. She‘s also allied with Scott Schumann alias The Sartorialist. www.garancedore.fr Bryan Boy Bryan Boy immediately sees who‘s got a groovy style and shows it – but also himself wearing extravagant clothes – on his well-known blog. Selfmanifestation just is a part of blogging. www.bryanboy.com StilinBerlin The makers of StilinBerlin wear the German capital‘s fashion, which really comes from the street. Real and rough like it is. www.stilinberlin.de Pascal Grob Pascal Grob is from Switzerland and shows that the country of the alps in face of it‘s modest size possesses a lot of stylish people. www.fashionbitsandbobs.com
