M SHAHMEEN HUSSAIN FASHION DESIGNER & STYLIST SPECIALIST IN WOMEN'S WEAR TRADITIONAL
& WESTERN / MEN'S WEAR.
Miss Hussain is a fashion designer and a stylist by profession and a psychology student as well! She pursued her diploma in fashion designing from NIFT and currently has her own workshop for designing all the pretty outfits. She'll be off to London this year to pursue more knowledge in her field. Let's read her journey so far.
“Let's take a trip down the memory lane where fashion was all I was fascinated about. I've grown up to be passionate about fashion and was inclined towards designing my own outfits for occasions and that's how all the appreciation came pouring in from both my family and friends for the outfits I designed.
A confused wanderer I was and I switched a lot of subjects before settling down on designing. The appreciation which I recieved for my outfits was a motivating source towards building up my career in fashion designing. Throughout the journey, my parents have been my pillar and supported me for all the choices I’ve made. And now, when I look back towards my journey I feel proud for deciding a career at a young age where almost every teen is confused about the path to choose by." PAGE 1

“Aren't we always waiting? Waiting for something to work out. Waiting for something to end. Life happens, while we wait for it to begin. And, we wait for it to begin, just so it ends. And, it ends, while we still sit there, waiting to be brought to life. Waiting for it to colour our existence. And so, we die black and white." SADAF ZAIDI Student: Literature

For a woman isn't beautiful In makeup or high heels But in how she blends her feelings with words In prose and poetry In silence and good deeds In how she keeps up with the world In chuckles and giggles And all the promises she keeps.

They say the right side of your brain governs creativity. So it wouldn't be a lie if I say, my right brain defines the love of my life. As an interior decorator, I had to look for products in the market and explore places to find the products for my choice and sometimes it used to be a hard task. And somehow I felt that the idea in itself was very limiting to the creativity possessed. So I wondered, why not design my own products with the quirk meets traditional taste. The response so far has been so flooring. I didn't anticipate this. When people come up to me and to tell me that they love my products, that's the best thing about doing my work. People have been really showing interest in my products and they come to see me at exhibitions and even place orders online after seeing me at exhibits. I absolutely love my job!

Photography was just a hobby for Maria Zaki, a student of St Francis Degree College, studying B.Com International Business. That was, until a family friend called her to cover a children's function being hosted for her daughter. That was 2014 and ever since then, there has been no looking back. Over the past two years, Maria has covered over 25 weddings and continues to get rave reviews for her work. Pretty good for someone who has taught themselves the nuances of photography. She covers weddings all over the city and is open to covering other events as well.

So, I thought of trying my luck at the Roadies X4 Pune Auditions on 19th November, 2015. I cleared all the rounds with an intact smile.
I am a Roadie now and, my only aim is to inspire young hearts and, show them that a show like Roadies can be won with honesty and integrity. I am glad that I have made Hyderabad proud and will continue doing so. Jai Hind!

"Summers are here and it really bothers your skin a lot. We need to exfoliate the skin well and maintain it to keep it flawless even during the scorching heat. So firstly you can use a foaming face wash I use the Body shop's Tea Tree one. Followed by a toner I use the Body Shop's sea weed toner and then moisturise your skin. Also you need to apply a good sun screen before you step out. Keep a pack of wet tissues to help you stay fresh and hydrated. Also drinking a lot of water and juices is a must this season to keep you active and hydrated."

Sitting in your bedroom and watching television might not make you understand the environment we are living in right now. Taking sides will not help as well. In times like these where oppression is more vocal than any time before it becomes a necessity for those with an open mind to collectively form a voice with fellow citizens to make their concerns heard and understood. There is a sense of fear in everyone and people are being lynched on assumptions. They are being named terrorist of the state for raising their views. When freedom of speech becomes a struggle that is when you know everything is wrong. I agree that there should be a sense of responsibility when one voices their views but their should also be a level of acceptance when one listens to them. It has become so normal to call someone anti national just because they think differently that it does not seem dangerous anymore. People cannot be blamed or imprisoned for having a different ideology and neither can the government be blamed for everything that has happened since independence. Politicians can never make or break a country, it's the people who do. We see today that someone disagrees to say 'bharat mata ki jai' and in the very next moment we put a limelight on their religion but we fail to understand that it is an individual who is speaking for himself. It is important to show anger in a way people look up but taking steps such as turning a university campus into a war zone is not one. India as a country has always prospered through diversity. We have a wonder made by a muslim ruler but at the same time we have had a hindu man invented Zero. It is our cultures which makes muslim parents dress their children as Hindu gods for a dress up competition and it is this very culture which makes a hindu family celebrate eid. We are great because we are one as Indians and let's keep it that way. PAGE 10

Dr. Joshodeep Boruwa Dr. Joshodeep Boruwa is a scientist by profession , a painter and a photographer by passion. His interest towards painting developed at a very early age observing his uncle's paintings and learned the basics of drawing, painting and mixing colours. Though he never attended any formal painting classes, the paintings of great masters were his inspiration and he learnt the art through copying their styles. His interest of the subject kept changing with time, in early 20's he was more inclined towards landscapes of Constable and Turners, works impressionist master Degas and Monet and still life. However, portrait has always remained the major interest. Since last 4-5 years he has been mostly focussing on working with premier coup technique.
My principal goal in painting can be summed up in truthfulness and directness, that is I paint what I see. As far as method is concerned it is calculative and purposeful.
