INTERIOR WITH
Transform CUSTOM BLINDS YOUR HOME’S
by Valerie Demetros
Window treatments — curtains, shades and blinds — shouldn’t be an afterthought. Rather, they should be an important part of any room design.
Not only do window coverings add privacy and conserve energy, but they also bring an extra element of pattern or color into a space. In this way, window treatments are the perfect approach to enhancing or softening a room. Patterns can add depth and create a focal point in a room, and natural
woven or solid-textured panels add an additional layer of detail. Even sheer blinds add a soft layer of light and style.
If you’re hoping to maximize natural light in your living room or add the perfect finishing touch, custom blinds can mean the difference between a nice room and a stunning room.
Not only do custom blinds make a room look finished, but they also have the ability to transform an interior by creating the illusion of
a higher ceiling or drawing your eye across the room.
If you’ve got a beautiful view of the mountains, custom window blinds offer the opportunity to make the most of that view by framing it in just the right way.
But how do you go about choosing the right option for your space? First, consider function, fabric and fit, say most experts.
Once you determine the needs in the room (blackout vs. sheer, framing or dramatic), that should lead to the choice of fabric. Your style and statement in the room will determine the rest.
If the room is dark, cellular blinds that let in light but still give privacy may be the answer. Known for their honeycomb-shaped cells, cellular blinds are excellent for insulation since the cells trap air. They are available in light-filtering and blackout and come with single-cell or double-cell design.
If your view of the trees is important, as well as letting in light from above, your best bet is to choose top-down, bottom-up blinds that offer light control and privacy.
Motorized blinds are convenient and modern. Most types of blinds and shades can be equipped with motorization, offering the ability to adjust with the push of a button or even smart-home devices.
Especially for out-of-reach windows like those in stairwells or transom windows, motorized blinds make it easy to be anywhere in the room and still adjust your blinds.
With such a large selection of custom options, finding just the right look for your home should be easy. If it’s too confusing, your interior designer can offer ideas and examples to make your home the showpiece it is meant to be. Additional blinds include wood, metal, vertical, solar and Roman.
TAKE A LUXURIOUS APPROACH TO
Post-Holiday Relaxation
As the holiday season’s sparkle fades, many are left seeking balance after weeks of indulgence and celebration. This transitional period is the perfect time to embrace mindful living — cultivating a state of calm and focus through intentional lifestyle choices.
PRIVATE SANCTUARY
Transforming your home into a private sanctuary is the cornerstone of mindful relaxation. Invest in high-quality candles, diffusers and essential oils to fill your space with soothing aromas. Plush robes, Egyptian cotton towels and silk pillowcases can enhance the experience.
Consider upgrading your bathroom into a spa-like retreat. A deep-soaking tub paired with luxurious bath oils or a modern rain shower system can mimic the therapeutic experience of a five-star spa. Complement the setting with tranquil music or guided meditation for a truly immersive escape.
SLOW LIVING
Mindful living revolves around the concept of savoring every moment. The holidays were fast-paced but now is the time to slow down and relish the simple pleasures. Start your day with a ceremonial cup of tea or single-origin coffee. Choose artisanal blends and invest in beautifully crafted dishware to heighten the experience.
This practice extends to your meals. Create time to prepare nourishing dishes from scratch using seasonal ingredients. Splurge on highend kitchen tools or enroll in a private cooking class to improve your culinary skills. The act of cooking and eating mindfully can be both meditative and rewarding.
MOVEMENT, RESTORATIVE PRACTICES
Physical and mental well-being are central to mindful living. Explore fitness options that prioritize connection and presence, such as private yoga sessions, Pilates or tai chi in a serene studio setting. Many exclusive retreats now offer mindfulness-centered getaways focused on wellness and self-discovery. Balance movement with restorative practices, such as sound baths or aromatherapy massages. Investing in a premium weighted blanket or hiring a personal wellness coach also can ensure your relaxation is personalized.
DETOX DIGITAL
Step back from the digital frenzy. Consider a digital detox by dedicating certain hours — or even entire days — to being screen-free. Replace scrolling with journaling, reading fine literature or engaging in analog activities like painting or puzzles.
REFLECT
Designing a space for reflection and meditation can anchor your mindful lifestyle. A cozy nook with a high-end meditation cushion, cashmere throw and soft lighting can serve as your personal haven. Incorporate calming elements like a tabletop Zen garden or a cascading water feature to evoke peace.

ADD A YOUR PERSONAL BRAND BLAZER TO ELEVATE
Your personal style is more than just the clothes you wear. It’s a reflection of your personality, values and goals as well as a powerful tool to communicate your personal brand.
With a wardrobe you wear with confidence, you can be yourself with potential clients, in meetings, social gatherings and social media. And elevating your personal brand may be as easy as adding a blazer to your rotation. The blazer is a great way to create a new range of outfits by pairing one with what you already have in your closet. It also adds polish and professionalism to your outfit.
If you’re working in a business/ casual environment, a blazer also is a great way to stand out beyond the sea of polo-shirtswith-chinos in many offices. Simply upgrade your outfit with minimal effort by adding a blazer over your polo. (It’s also a good way to disguise an expanding belly by adding an extra layer over your shirt.)
When choosing a blazer, consider your personal style. Is it confident and casual, quirky and fun or professional and reliable? It can even be a mix of these or more.
The versatility of the men’s blazer shines when you have to go to more than one place in a day. Just wear your blazer with gray trousers and a tie to work, then remove the tie and throw on some jeans for a dinner date.
Dress up your blazer by wearing a crisp, white dress shirt and tie. A blazer is versatile because of its casual nature — wear it to a barbecue or drinks on Friday night.
Just remember that a blazer is not part of a suit, so don’t try to make it one. Never try to wear similar colored trousers — the two garments won’t be cut from the same fabric and there will be a difference in texture or shade.
You may even want to consider a leather blazer to upgrade the look even more. With dress slacks or jeans, it makes a statement about you and your personal style.
The AI Advantage
ENHANCES MODERN LUXURY LIFESTYLES
In the world of luxury living, where convenience and personalization are paramount, artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as the ultimate tool for enhancing the quality and efficiency of daily life.
Beyond its practical applications, AI seamlessly integrates into the refined experiences that define a sophisticated lifestyle, revolutionizing how we approach personal wellness, home management, travel and more. Here’s how AI is setting new standards in modern luxury.
PERSONALIZED WELLNESS, FITNESS
AI-powered wellness platforms have transformed personal health routines. Smart devices, like wearables and virtual health assistants, analyze biometric data to create customized fitness plans and track sleep patterns, stress levels and heart rates.
Platforms such as WHOOP and Fitbit’s advanced algorithms give users insights tailored to their physiology and lifestyle.
For those who value exclusivity and personalization, AI-driven health plans curated by digital nutritionists and fitness trainers ensure peak performance and well-being.
SMART-HOME REVOLUTION
AI is enhancing domestic life with unparalleled convenience and customization. Smarthome systems like Google Nest and Amazon Alexa do far more than adjust thermostats and control lighting.
AI learns the habits of its users, creating bespoke routines that cater to individual preferences, whether setting the perfect ambiance for a dinner party or adjusting settings to maximize energy efficiency when no one is home.
Voice-controlled systems paired with AIenabled home appliances can prepare morning espressos, select music playlists to suit the mood and manage home security — all hands-free.
ENHANCED TRAVEL, LEISURE
AI takes travel planning and experiences to new heights. Elite travelers can rely on AI to curate unique, personalized itineraries that align with their tastes. Platforms like Wanderlog and Vacay use sophisticated algorithms to suggest hidden gems and experiences tailored to the traveler’s interests.
Additionally, AI-driven concierge services provided by luxury hotel chains ensure guests enjoy seamless, tailored experiences, from dining reservations to room preferences remembered and prepared ahead of arrival.
FASHION, STYLE TAILORED TO YOU
Staying ahead in the fashion world is essential for many who lead luxury lifestyles. AI-driven styling assistants like Stitch Fix or those used by luxury brands from Burberry to Versace learn personal preferences over time, presenting exclusive pieces that align with individual tastes. Virtual try-on technology, powered by augmented reality and AI, allows users to visualize couture and designer collections from the comfort of their homes, facilitating decisions before items even arrive.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT, INVESTMENT INSIGHT
For those managing substantial assets, AI can be a powerful tool to augment human expertise. AI-powered financial advisers and portfolio management tools analyze market trends, personal financial data and global economic patterns to optimize investment strategies and financial health.

ACCELERATE YOUR CAREER IN 2025 BY
Setting & Reaching GOALS
Eby Blake Herzog
valuating your career is a common activity at the beginning of a new year, but many people don’t come out of it with a game plan for shoring up their weak spots or reaching their full potential.
Introspection is the important first step. You must set forth clear, achievable steps for reaching compelling goals to ensure your career heads in the direction you want it to over the course of 2025.
CREATE A CLEAR CAREER VISION
If you haven’t already done so, it’s time to figure out precisely what you want out of your professional life, personally and financially. Start by asking yourself:
• What are my strongest skills and interests? How can I use my skills to propel my career forward in the coming year? What am I passionate about?
Get specific about what you care about and why.
• What achievements and frustrations shaped my professional life over the past year? What insights do they provide into further opportunities for growth and change that will lead to greater success?
• Am I fulfilled and satisfied with my job? If not, why? Does there seem to be any way I can find that fulfillment with my current employer, or is it time to look for an alternative that better meets my needs?
CEMENT YOUR CAREER GOALS
Now that you’ve answered these questions, it’s time to set out your short-term (about
one year), medium-term (two to five years) and long-term (five-plus years).
All of the short- and medium-term items should feed into your long-term goals; a certification you aim to earn in 2025 should specifically move you toward one of your longterm goals, for example. Make sure you lay out and are realistic about the length of the path necessary to reach each of your objectives.
EXPAND YOUR PERSONAL NETWORK
Don’t become complacent about making connections that could help further your career development.
Even if you’re not looking to move on to a different company, new or renewed contacts could turn into mentors, sources for new ideas or mentees connecting you to younger generations. Since it’s all too easy for relationships to go by the wayside while keeping up with everyday life, it might be worth setting a goal of making one professionally advantageous connection per week.
COMMIT TO LEARNING AND DEEP WORK
Even if your career doesn’t require continuing education credits you should take whatever opportunities you can to extend your knowledge of your career field, whether it’s in the classroom or hands-on experience. Finding time for uninterrupted work and study, with as few distractions as possible, will allow you to commit what you learn to memory and put it to use in ways that work to your and everyone else’s advantage.
First Impressions:
THE POWER OF SEVEN SECONDS
The ability to make a lasting first impression is an essential skill. Experts agree that it takes only seven seconds for someone to form an opinion about you.
In those seconds it is about embodying confidence, elegance and authenticity.
When your look, body language and words align seamlessly, you don’t just meet someone — you captivate them. These moments are where relationships are forged and opportunities are born, defining the art of networking.
Before entering a room, preparation is key. Choose your outfit thoughtfully — it should reflect your personal style while resonating with the occasion. Choose timeless, well-fitted pieces with subtle but high-quality details that speak to your confidence without being ostentatious.
Accessories, like a refined watch or a signature fragrance, add an extra touch that resonates on a subconscious level, creating an aura of elegance.
Then when meeting someone for the first time, your posture and movements are crucial. Stand tall,
with shoulders back and head held high; this exudes confidence and approachability. A genuine smile is one of the simplest yet most effective ways to make someone feel at ease.
Avoid crossing your arms, as it signals defensiveness, and instead keep your hands relaxed at your sides or in a poised gesture that invites engagement.
Eye contact is a subtle yet powerful tool. Maintain it long enough to show you’re engaged but not so long that it becomes intimidating. Pair it with a firm but gentle handshake — a tactile way to convey assurance and warmth.
These details matter in high-end circles, where the smallest cues can communicate respect and attentiveness.
What you say in those first moments can set the tone for the entire interaction.
A compliment or a thoughtful question tailored to the situation shows you’re observant and interested. Be succinct, articulate and warm.
PairingWhiskey & Cigars
Pairing whiskey and cigars is a tradition steeped in luxury and craftsmanship, offering aficionados an experience that uplifts both elements. When done correctly, the pairing can bring out subtle notes in both the whiskey and the cigar, creating a harmonious balance of flavors that showcases sophistication and taste.
UNDERSTANDING WHISKEY VARIETIES
To master whiskey and cigar pairing, start with an understanding of whiskey varieties. They vary in flavor profiles depending on their origin and aging process:
• Scotch whiskey — Known for its smoky, peaty flavors, especially from regions like Islay. It pairs well with full-bodied cigars that can stand up to its robust character.
• Bourbon — Sweeter and richer, with notes of vanilla, caramel and oak. Medium to full-bodied cigars complement its sweeter undertones.
• Irish whiskey — Lighter and smoother, with subtle floral and fruity notes. Pair with milder cigars to match its delicate profile.
• Rye whiskey — Spicier with a drier finish, it pairs well with cigars that have spicy or earthy undertones.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT CIGAR
Just as whiskey varies, so do cigars. Factors such as origin, leaf type and aging impact
IS A REFINED INDULGENCE
their flavor. The general rule of thumb is to balance or complement the cigar’s strength with the whiskey’s profile:
• Full-bodied cigars — Choose these for pairing with peaty Scotch or rye whiskey. Their bold, complex flavors match well with the intensity of these whiskeys.
• Medium-bodied cigars — Ideal for bourbon. The cigar’s flavors should be able to enhance the whiskey’s sweeter notes.
• Mild cigars — Perfect for Irish whiskeys or lighter bourbons, ensuring neither element overpowers the other.
HARMONIZING FLAVORS
Look for shared notes or complementary flavors. For instance, a cigar with earthy, leathery undertones pairs excellently with a Scotch with a hint of smoke and oak. A cigar with a hint of sweetness or spiciness can enhance the vanilla and caramel tones of a well-aged bourbon.
THE TASTING RITUAL
Start by taking a small sip of whiskey to coat your palate. Then, draw from the cigar and let the smoke linger momentarily. Finally, sip the whiskey again. This sequence highlights nuanced flavors and ensures that each taste is savored. Take time between each sip and puff to appreciate the intricate flavors that develop.

Flagstaff is a four season hub of activity where an eclectic mix of small-town charm and endless outdoor adventure beckons.
It is the highest point on the entirety of Route 66. It's also the place where Pluto was discoverd and astronauts trained before first visiting the moon.
Drop your bags off at Little America, a prime location close to great restaurants, hiking, skiing and only 90 minutes away from the Grand Canyon.
SPEED TO YOUR DREAM AT
High-Octane Racetracks
by Blake Herzog
If you have a lead foot that’s earned you a couple of speeding tickets, you might be looking for a way to fulfill your need for speed without triggering any radar guns or street-mounted cameras. All the better if you get to drive the sports car of your dreams or a bona fide racecar.
You can do both of these without leaving Arizona — we’ll tell you how.
NASCAR RACING EXPERIENCE
On select days throughout the year at Phoenix Raceway in Avondale you can drive a real NASCAR-certified
race car on its 1-mile, low-banked three-oval track, the only one in the U.S. that hosts two NASCAR championship events per year.
All vehicles have been racedriven by professional drivers and don’t have doors, meaning you have to climb in and out through the window just like they do. All drivers must have a license, meet weight and height restrictions and have a parental consent form if they are younger than 18.
Following a drivers’ meeting for training and instruction you’re set loose for five to 48 minutes on the track with other amateur drivers, without an instructor and guidance only from a spotter via two-way radio.
You’ll get a brief pit stop after every eight minutes on the track and you can pass slower drivers (by following the spotter’s instructions). The longer you drive the faster you get to go, and after
you’ve driven one 32-minute or longer session you qualify for the Advanced Experience with a personal instructor. Ride-alongs are also available and you’re encouraged to bring friends and family along to watch.
All this doesn’t come cheap, though discounts and financing are offered. A single fiveminute driving session starts at $349.99, three eight-minute spans run up to $2,099.99 and $4,199.99 for the 48-minute blowout. It’s available at 16 more of NASCAR’s top locations, including Daytona and Talladega. For more information see www. nascarracingexperience.com.
THE XTREME XPERIENCE
For those who fantasize about whipping around the track in a
Lamborghini or another outof-your world “supercar” there’s the Xtreme Xperience, a company that brings a fleet of Porsches, Ferraris, Corvettes, Lamborghinis and others to 40 epic driving locations around the nation. Clients can drive one, some or all the vehicles in the lineup over multiple scheduled three-day weekends at Firebird Motorsports Park in Chandler. Starting prices range from $249 to drive a Nissan GTR to $3,570 to dr ive every car in the fleet; discounts often are available. To find out when you can take advantage of Firebird and other unforgettable settings like Sonoma Raceway, Texas Motor Speedway and Monticello Motor Club in New York, one of the most exclusive private tracks in North America, visit www. thextremexperience.com.

FlattersToday ’s Corduroy
THE FIGURE
Wby Michelle Beck, Owner, Purple Clover Boutique
ith the start of a new year, now is the time to think of winter clothing items that are worth investing in. The holidays are over and many luxury pieces are probably going to be on sale. So, what are some key pieces to add to your wardrobe?
1. A fabulous faux fur. The fashion industry has done a wonderful job of perfecting faux fur for jackets, scarves and mittens. Not only is faux fur eco-friendly but it is also incredibly stylish. From solid colors to bold animal prints, you can find trendy and classic styles at a variety of price points.
2. Corduroy pants. The corduroy pants for today are much different than they were back in the 1970s. Corduroy has become fashionable again! Stiff and unflattering silhouettes have been replaced with blended fabrics that have some stretch in them and are figure flattering. It is worth having at least one pair in black or camel in your closet.
3. Winter boots. Sometimes a boot that is a favorite for fall just isn’t suitable for winter weather. Investing in a pair that is weather resistant and warm
is a good idea. Some styles have a plush lining that makes wearing them an absolute treat. Look for a pair that is both comfortable and practical.
4. A statement sweater. This is an area where personal preference is very important. From a classic cashmere V-neck to a bold oversized cable knit sweater, this category has a
multitude of choices. Don’t be afraid to add something different to your rotation of sweaters. Most importantly, have fun while you are shopping. Winter is a great time to look in your closet and see what you can add. Small boutiques and department stores both are looking to make room for spring clothing so help them out with some fabulous new items.
Design a Stylish PET
FOOD, ACCESSORY CORNER IN THE
KITCHEN
Transforming your kitchen into a seamless blend of luxury and practicality doesn’t have to stop at human needs. With a thoughtfully crafted DIY dog station, you can create an organized, stylish nook that caters to your furry friend’s essentials while maintaining upscale elegance.
Choose a spot that is accessible yet unobtrusive — perhaps an underused corner, a nook near the dining area or beneath an island counter. Ensure it’s within reach for easy feeding but out of busy pathways to prevent accidental spills. Measure your chosen space to define the station’s layout, keeping your dog’s size in mind for comfort and ease of use.
An elevated feeding stand not only brings sophistication to the setup but also supports better posture and digestion for your pet. Select a wood or marble stand that matches your kitchen’s style — whether it’s sleek modern or rustic farmhouse. Buy removable stainless-steel or ceramic bowls that are easy to clean and durable. Maximize functionality by incorporating storage compartments for food, treats and accessories. A pullout drawer with airtight containers ensures food stays fresh and organized.
Consider adding a small pull-out shelf or cabinet below the feeding area to store leashes, grooming tools and toys. For extra flair, line the cabinet doors with stylish, washable wallpaper that echoes the kitchen’s color scheme.
Make the space inviting with subtle, personalized touches. Monogrammed food mats or custom wall art featuring your dog’s name can increase the station’s appeal. Install hooks or small racks for hanging leashes and collars. Choose finishes that complement your kitchen hardware for a cohesive look.
Complete the station with a nonslip mat beneath the feeding stand to keep things tidy. If space allows, add a comfortable, coordinated cushion nearby for your pet to lounge while you cook.
Ensure the setup is easy to clean, using water-resistant and scratch-proof materials that align with your home’s feel.

Boho Chic Suede tops the list, in both clothing and accessories. Proenza Schouler’s fringe dresses filled the runways along with fringed jackets, skirts and even belts for a bohemian aesthetic and a resurgence of ’70s style. Mix it up with the florals and a tall boot for fall.
BRIGHT COVERS
Vivid outerwear in blues, greens and magenta look almost like a candy jar. Chloé offers the perfect oversized trench on the runways, with others showing wrap coats and rain jackets — all pop with color. Bally’s green car coat screams St. Patrick’s Day. Style it with complementary pastel pieces or soft neutrals.
PRIM AND PROPER
Prada and Balenciaga both love bow-tie blouses and Peter Pan collars with open backs and lace ties. Pleated skirts and dainty car coats bring out the demure and proper you. Pair a Peter Pan collar with a floral mini or tutu for added style. The trick is mix and match.
DANCING QUEEN
Classic tulle tutus danced among the collections sporting the new mini of the season. Add tights and boots with your favorite fall sweater to complete the ensemble. Also, layering skirts over pants is a thing now, so mix it up.
FLOWER CHILD
The runways were blossoming with bouquets of prints in every style. Light florals give a garden-party vibe while a mix of patterns and florals give more of your grandmother’s favorite bedspread. Mix with some fringe for a complete ’70s feel.
DRESS OVER PANTS
It’s back — the skirt-over-pants look. Wear a dress over wide-legged pants or a skirt over jeans. Lighten it up for summer with sheers and florals.
POLKA DOTS
The new neutral of the season appears to be polka dots, and lots of them. Wear them head to toe as well as layering pieces. Mix and match dot sizes and colors for an eye-opening look and don’t be afraid to add a stripe in there for fun.
SUNNY HUES
Butter yellow appeared prominently on the runway and online for next year with Tibi and Sergio Hudson embracing it’s strong but comforting feel. It’s trending for 2025 in all its variations from soft, gentle butter and vanilla to richer saffron and goldenrod.

TIDY UP A DRAWER FOR A SENSE OF
Accomplishment
Even the most opulent homes can fall victim to clutter, especially in the overlooked spaces like drawers. The 15-minute declutter is a transformative practice that brings a sense of immediate accomplishment and contributes to a more organized home — no matter the size.
COMMIT WITH A TIMER
Set a timer for 15 minutes. This step is simple, but it’s powerful. By allocating a short, defined period, you remove the burden of an open-ended task and transform it into a challenge. The time constraint promotes efficiency and helps you stay focused, preventing over-analysis and hesitation.
EMPTY AND ASSESS
Empty the drawer completely, placing all items on a flat surface such as a countertop or table. This step allows you to see the full scope of what you’ve been storing and sparks a sense of control. With everything laid out, you’ll often find items that don’t belong, are duplicates or have been forgotten.
SORT WITH INTENTION
Create three piles: keep, relocate and discard. Be honest during this process; does this item add value, serve a purpose or bring joy? If not, it’s time to discard or move it elsewhere. Be decisive, and don’t let sentimental attachments override practicality.
CLEAN THE DRAWER
Take a moment to wipe it clean. Use a gentle, fragrant cleaning spray for a fresh touch or add a sophisticated, nonslip liner that complements your interior aesthetic. This step enhances the sense of luxury, adding an element of polish even to hidden corners of your home.
REORGANIZE THOUGHTFULLY
Put only the essential and selected items back into the drawer, arranging them neatly. Consider using dividers or small, stylish trays to create sections that hold items in place. This simple addition prevents future clutter by giving each item a designated spot. When placing items, prioritize by frequency of use — everyday essentials at the front, less-used items toward the back. This method saves time when searching and maintains a sense of order.
Before you move on to other tasks, take a moment to appreciate your work. That small act of tidying may seem minor, but it contributes significantly to a sense of peace and control in your space. Immediate gratification fuels motivation for similar projects in other areas of the home.

PourSome G
WINE
WITH YOUR DESSERT
reat wine pairings are an art form, and no one automatically knows exactly what goes with what. The best way to learn is by trial and error. But some pairings are more complex than others and it can become overwhelming.
The basic rule for pairing wine and dessert is the same as pairing wine with savory food — the wine should complement the dish. Here are a few common dessert flavor profiles with expert suggestions. In the end, if you like a certain wine with your cheesecake, that’s all you need to know.
CHEESECAKE
Most people love a good cheesecake, but it can be hard on most wines. Pair with Champagne or a rich wine like a sauternes, gewürtztraminer or riesling. If you have berries or caramel on top, you can check below and branch out.
BERRIES
A berry dessert pairs delightfully with the dark fruit flavors of rosé Champagne or rosé prosecco. The high acidity and dark fruits of the wine complement the berry flavors.
CARAMEL
Caramel desserts are always a favorite and most work well with Champagne. The saltiness of the caramel parties with the bubbles of sparkling wines. An Argentinian Malbec with notes of sweet tobacco and lots of tannins work well also to help cut caramel’s innate richness and pair nicely.
CHOCOLATE
Chocolate can be tricky because its sweetness can linger and make pretty much anything else seem bitter in contrast. Simple dark chocolate is excellent with cognac while many other chocolates pair well with intense red wines –think zinfandel, cabernet sauvignon or grenache, as well some red blends. White chocolate has a very unique and sweet flavor profile and matches well with sweeter sparkling wines, a sweet riesling beerenauslese or the right sauvignon blanc.
CITRUS
Citrus desserts feature high acidity, which can make wine taste sweeter making it an easy choice for a drier wine. For instance, pair a lemon tart with muscat blanc, known for its highly aromatic floral notes of orange blossom.
ICE CREAM
Like cheesecake, ice cream can be hard on wine — too much fat and cold block the way for the wine’s flavors. For a proper pairing, look to the rich flavor of cream sherry or even a sweet Pedro Ximenez sherry to balance out flavors. Chocolate ice cream matches perfectly with full-bodied red wines since they both contain lots of polyphenols. A zinfandel with dark berry aromas would be ideal. For vanilla ice cream, America’s No. 1 favorite, choose a sparkling wine that’s not too dry or too sweet. A sec or demi-sec Champagne would be a playful match.

Personalized Nutrition
THE FUTURE OF
WELLNESS?
Personalized nutrition, driven by advancements in DNA testing and tailored meal planning, has become a pinnacle of health optimization.
GENETIC BLUEPRINT
This use of DNA testing involves analyzing an individual’s genetic
makeup to reveal how their body responds to certain nutrients, foods and dietary patterns. Companies offering this service provide a simple test kit, allowing you to collect a DNA sample with a cheek swab. Once sent to a specialized lab, the results yield information about your
metabolism, nutrient absorption rates, potential food sensitivities and predispositions to such conditions as heart disease, diabetes or inflammation.
For example, you might discover your body processes omega-3 fatty acids more efficiently than most, or that you have a genetic predisposition for vitamin D deficiency.
This level of understanding paves the way for personalized dietary choices that enhance your health while potentially preventing future illnesses.
TAILORED MEAL PLANS
The next step is crafting a meal plan that reflects your unique nutritional needs. Nutritionists specializing in genetic data interpretation can create tailored meal plans that incorporate the foods best suited for your body’s optimal function. This isn’t just about avoiding foods that could be problematic; it’s about maximizing
the foods that can help you thrive.
For instance, if your DNA analysis shows a higher risk of inflammation, your tailored plan might include foods rich in antioxidants and omega-3s, such as salmon, berries and dark leafy greens. Alternatively, if you’re predisposed to high cholesterol, your plan may emphasize fiber-rich foods and healthy fats like avocados and nuts.
PREVENTIVE APPROACH
By understanding how your body reacts to specific nutrients and designing a diet that mitigates potential genetic risks, you create a proactive health strategy. This approach moves beyond treating illnesses as they arise; instead, it focuses on maintaining a state of peak wellness and longevity.
Evidence supports that targeted dietary changes, guided by genetic insights, can reduce the likelihood of developing
conditions like cardiovascular disease, Type 2 diabetes and other lifestyle-related illnesses.
For the health-conscious the idea of aging gracefully while sidestepping avoidable diseases is the ultimate benefit.
Snatch Victory
FROM THE JAWS OF DEFEAT
Failure is an inevitable part of life, yet it often feels like a roadblock that halts progress and undermines self-confidence. Reframing failure as a stepping stone to success can transform your perspective and empower you to thrive.
The first step to overcoming failure is understanding that it is not the opposite of success but a crucial part of it.
Failure provides valuable lessons that success cannot. Embrace failure as feedback — an opportunity to refine your approach, improve your skills and grow stronger. Celebrate the courage it took to try, and see setbacks as a natural part of any journey.
A growth mindset, as coined by psychologist Carol Dweck, is the belief that abilities and intelligence can be developed through effort and perseverance. When faced with failure, ask yourself: “What can I learn from this?” Instead of seeing obstacles as insurmountable, view them as challenges to enhance your resilience and problem-solving abilities.
Failure often presents an opportunity for introspection. Take responsibility for your role in the outcome and reflect on what went wrong without self-blame.
Writing down or discussing your experiences with a mentor or friend can provide clarity and help you identify patterns or areas for improvement.
Sometimes failure stems from setting overly ambitious goals without a clear plan. Break your objectives into smaller, manageable tasks and celebrate small wins along the way. This approach builds momentum and keeps you motivated, even in the face of setbacks.
Don’t forget, the people around you play a significant role in how you handle failure. Cultivate a network of supportive friends, mentors or peers who uplift and encourage you. Sharing your experiences and hearing others’ stories of resilience can inspire you to keep pushing forward. Practice resilience — the ability to bounce back after failure. Cultivate it through self-care practices like exercise, meditation or hobbies that recharge you. Resilience helps you maintain a positive outlook and persevere through tough times.
HORMONE THERAPY
Hormones are the body’s chemical messengers, playing a critical role in regulating energy, mood, metabolism, libido and overall vitality. As we age, hormonal levels naturally decline, which can lead to a wide range of physical and emotional symptoms that disrupt daily life. Thankfully, hormone therapy offers a personalized approach to restoring balance and improving quality of life — for both men and women.
WHAT IS HORMONE THERAPY?
Hormone therapy involves replenishing or balancing hormone levels to address deficiencies caused by aging, stress or other factors. Bioidentical hormones, which are chemically identical to those produced by the body,
WOMEN AND MEN
by Aymee Wilson, Owner & Founder, Wilson Aesthetics BENEFITS
are commonly used to ensure a natural and effective response. Therapy is tailored to each individual’s needs, targeting specific imbalances to optimize results.
BENEFITS FOR WOMEN
For women, hormone therapy can address a variety of symptoms associated with menopause such as hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings and decreased bone density. It can also help with premenopausal concerns like irregular cycles or hormonal acne. Beyond symptom relief, hormone therapy often improves skin elasticity, energy levels and sexual health, helping women feel more youthful and vibrant.
BENEFITS FOR MEN
Men also experience a decline in hormones, commonly referred
to as andropause, which can lead to reduced energy, loss of muscle mass, weight gain and decreased libido. Hormone therapy for men often focuses on replenishing testosterone levels, improving physical strength, mental clarity and overall mood. Men who undergo therapy often report increased energy and a renewed sense of vitality.
WHO CAN BENEFIT?
Individuals in their 30s and 40s with subtle but persistent symptoms such as fatigue, anxiety, sleep disturbances or unexplained weight gain may benefit. By addressing these imbalances early, hormone therapy can prevent more significant health issues later.
ONGOING MAINTENANCE FOR OPTIMAL HEALTH
Hormone therapy is most effective when combined with healthy lifestyle choices, including proper nutrition, regular exercise and stress management. Routine followups with a health care provider are essential to adjust dosages and ensure long-term success. Whether you’re seeking relief from frustrating symptoms or aiming to optimize your overall health, hormone therapy offers a science-backed solution for men and women alike. Take control of your wellness journey and rediscover your energy, balance and vitality.

ICE CUBES Let your Work Wonders
Many top facialists, models and makeup artists have a secret weapon to keeping faces natural, cheekbones high and skin glowing — and you probably have it right now if you’ve got ice in your freezer.
Skin icing, or ice facial, consists of applying ice or very cold water to the skin, causing blood to rise to the surface, soothing and tightening skin.
Think of it as a cold plunge for your face, waking it up and tightening the skin for a beautiful, glowing complexion.
Additional benefits of skin icing include reduced inflammation, reduced pore size, exfoliation, soothing blemishes and reducing pigmentation. This treatment also encourages lymphatic drainage, decreasing puffiness.
Skin icing, at its most basic form, involves gently rubbing ice, cold water or an ice rolling tool over your face in a circular motion as part of your daily skin care regimen. Usually done in the morning to start your day, the trend grew in popularity through TikTok.
But this isn’t one of those fly-by-night TikTok trends. Studies prove that icing your face can make a difference. You can choose to ice at home using pure ice or a bowl of water with ice or cubes of milk or green tea for added benefits. There also are ice facials offered by salons using ice, frozen green tea and even cryotherapy.
To get the glow at home, use the supermodel playbook. Kate Moss and Bella Hadid often use the powers of an ice facial before a photo shoot, basically submerging their faces into a bowl of ice-filled cold water to get a bright and tight glow.
Experts also suggest using a frozen milk cube, swiping from the center of the chin along the jawline to the earlobe, then upward toward the highs of the cheekbones, under eye region and across the forehead. Repeat for five minutes to get a firming, contouring effect.
While it’s pretty straightforward (you’re just putting ice on your skin), there are a few things to remember so you don’t cause any damage.
First, cleanse your face prior to icing. Then be sure and use a barrier like a paper towel, cloth or even a plastic bag to block the skin from direct contact — touching directly can damage the skin's barrier and lead to irritation, redness, ice burns and dryness.
Keep each session to once a day and only for about five to 10 minutes to prevent damage, and gently massage the ice into the skin in circular motions without leaving it in one area for too long.
Once done, you’re good to carry on with the rest of your skin care regimen.
WMOUTH TAPING
MAY HELP YOU SLEEP BETTER
aking up with a dry mouth is never comfortable, and it can also wreak havoc on your oral health. Mouth taping is a modern “sleep hack” that can lessen mouth breathing and aid in a better night’s sleep. Mouth breathing, which can cause snoring, also causes disruptions in your sleep and keeps you from feeling rested. In contrast, nasal breathing creates nitrous oxide, which increases blood flow,
lowers blood pressure and improves brain function. Using mouth tape promotes breathing through your nose by gently keeping your mouth shut while sleeping.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Although mouth-taping products exist, sports and surgical tape can also work. Most mouthtaping products are made from gentle, nontoxic materials. The tape is strong enough to promote
nose breathing but it can be removed without much effort.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
The practice benefits your oral and overall health. Breathing through your nose aids in filtering out dust and harmful allergens, while mouth breathing gives you a dry mouth leading to bad breath and tooth decay. Additional benefits include fewer cavities, reduced snoring, increased REM sleep and increased cognitive function.
ARE THERE SIDE EFFECTS?
There are no clinical studies on mouth taping yet. Though it’s not considered a proven treatment, some dental professionals recommend it based on the potential oral-health benefits. Be sure to let your dental professional know if you have nasal congestion before trying mouth tape. Some potential side effects include allergic reaction to the tape and insomnia. More ways to avoid mouth breathing while sleeping include avoiding alcohol before bed, avoid smoking, use a nasal strip and elevate your head while sleeping. If you think you can benefit from mouth taping, speak to your physician or dentist to see if it’s right for you.
Let your
MORNING RITUAL GROUND YOU
What if there was a way to make your day more productive and your outlook brighter? It could be as simple as establishing the perfect morning ritual.
We’re not talking about just checking tasks off a list each morning; this is about creating a sense of calm, focus and purpose that carries over throughout the day.
Just to be clear, even though morning ritual and morning routine sound the same, there’s a subtle difference. A routine indicates tasks you complete each morning like showering and brushing your teeth.
A morning ritual involves setting intentions and focusing on yourself to raise your routine from mundane chores to consciously connecting with the day ahead.
Craft your morning ritual with what you need to feel energized and grounded and ready to begin the day.
1. Make your bed. It gives you an immediate sense of accomplishment, improves your mood and reduces stress by making you feel organized and disciplined.
2. Hydrate. You lose fluids while sleeping. Leave a glass of water bedside and drink it as soon as you awaken to rehydrate, flush out toxins and improve cognitive function. Staying hydrated can also improve alertness and memory.
3. Get moving. Incorporating physical activity into your morning ritual positively impacts your day. It gets your
blood flowing, increases circulation and releases endorphins. It doesn’t have to be a full-blown workout — yoga, stretching, a walk around the block or a quick Tabata session can do the trick.
4. Journal. Take 10 to 15 minutes each morning to process your thoughts and emotions and set the day’s tone. Use it to set weekly and daily goals and intentions.
5. Practice mindfulness. Practices include mindful breathing, meditation and being outside in nature. It only takes a few minutes and helps reduce stress and improve focus. Sit outside while journaling and planning to combine your tasks.
6. Get organized. Plan and prioritize your tasks before each day begins. A daily planner helps you prioritize your responsibilities and focus on the most important. It also helps to see it all in front of you before tackling the list.
7. Fuel Up. Eating a balanced breakfast provides the nutrients, proteins and fiber you need to function at your best. You’ll quickly run out of energy without it.
If you’re a night owl and thinking this isn’t for you, think again. You don’t have to be a morning person to put a morning ritual into motion. Create a solid morning ritual, then give yourself one week. Habits aren’t developed overnight.
Once that week is over, continue another week. Be patient with yourself and modify when needed. It takes discipline, yes, but you’ll be so proud of yourself, and you’ll be more productive and focused.
Detox Bath Recipes
FOR MIND, SKIN, BODY
We all feel one way before getting in a bath, and much better when we get out. Water is one of the most healing natural elements, and a warm bath is so soothing and relaxing. Allowing your body to rest and rid itself of toxins is essential to staying healthy. If you’re not feeling your best, you can’t give 100% to anyone else. Choosing the right ingredients for a detox bath, whether homemade or bought, can make a huge difference. For relaxing soaks, unwind and reset with these simple at-home recipes.
RELAXING MIND DETOX
2 cups Epsom salt
10 drops Lavender essential oil
½ cup Baking soda
Flush out toxins, reduce stress hormones and balance your pH levels each week. Soak 20 minutes or more.
REJUVENATING SKIN DETOX
2 cups Epsom salt
2 cups Apple cider vinegar
2 tbs Ginger powder
¼ cup Baking soda
Known for relieving common skin problems, apple cider vinegar is a natural anti-inflammatory while also killing bacteria and yeast on your skin. Vinegar helps restore pH balance and reduces pain. Soak for up to 20 minutes.
REVITALIZING BODY DETOX
2 cups Epsom salt
10 drops Eucalyptus essential oil
¼ cup Baking soda
Next time you feel a cold coming on, try this blend and soak up to 20 minutes to clear your body and mind.
CLAY DETOX BATH
½ cup Bentonite clay ½ cup Epsom salts Essential oils optional
Add salts and essential oils to warm bath water. For the clay, mix into a small amount of water until mostly smooth (no metal utensils) and add to bath. Soak for 20 minutes.
Alternately, you can create the clay paste and apply to your body as a mask to exfoliate. Bentonite clay removes heavy metals as well. Let the clay dry for about five minutes, then immerse in the water for about 20 minutes. Use a washcloth to remove clay.
If you don’t want to DIY it, try Costa Brazil Sal de Bahno Bath Salts with a blend of mineral sea salts, Epsom salt and Brazilian white clay. There’s also a natural composition of copaiba and passion fruit seed oils, both rich in cannabinoids. Hungary-based Omorovicza created a luxe bath soak in honor of Budapest’s healing thermal waters. It contains Hungarian minerals with magnesium and sulfur to help relieve inflammation, pink Himalayan salts with calcium and bromide, and potassiumrich Dead Sea salts to alleviate sore muscles.
Although some experts claim simply soaking won’t detox your body, there are many who disagree. And since a warm bath is soothing on its own, who cares? Just take that bath, indulge and in the process, relax and rejuvenate.

FERMENTED FOODS
STO IMPROVE MENTAL HEALTH
tudies reveal that the state of your gut can significantly impact mental health, influencing everything from mood to cognitive function. Enter fermented foods: not just a culinary trend but an essential component of mental well-being.
THE CONNECTION
The gut, often referred to as the “second brain,” houses trillions of microorganisms that play a critical role in digestion, immunity and neurotransmitter production. The gut-brain axis is the bidirectional communication system linking your enteric nervous system (gut) and central nervous system (brain).
A healthy gut flora supports the production of serotonin and dopamine, key neurotransmitters that regulate mood and emotional health.
THE ROLE
Fermented foods such as kimchi, sauerkraut, kombucha and miso are rich in beneficial probiotics that promote a thriving gut microbiome. These foods are not only known for their tangy, rich flavors but also their potential to improve gut health, which in turn supports mental wellness.
Fermentation encourages the growth of lactic acid bacteria, known to aid digestion and enhance the gut’s microbiota balance.
AT HOME
Making fermented foods at home is a ritual that connects you to the ageold practice of natural preservation. Start with simple recipes: Kimchi — Combine napa cabbage, radish, garlic, ginger and chili paste, then ferment the mixture in an airtight jar for one to two weeks. Sauerkraut — Shred cabbage and massage it with salt until it releases moisture. Pack it tightly into a jar, ensuring it’s submerged in its brine, and let it ferment for about a week. Both are simple yet effective ways to introduce live cultures into your diet.
You not only benefit from the probiotics but also engage in a mindful practice that aligns with the essence of self-care and intentional living. An ordinary activity becomes a ritual of nourishment and mindfulness.

(or fancy yourself as one), a chalkboard wall is the perfect way to showcase your artistic skills or practice your designs. The best thing about chalkboard paint is how easy it is to use, and easy to cover when you are tired of it.
For a child’s room, a full wall is the perfect choice. But don’t stop there, you can also cover a closet door and even a headboard. The front and back of a bedroom door gives them the opportunity to leave messages as well as design their own space.
Chalkboard walls offer an opportunity to add color and pattern to your own bedroom. You can cover your headboard or closet door and doodle to your heart’s content or create your own wallpaper design. In the kitchen, it serves a number of purposes. Use a chalkboard wall as a running grocery list, family calendar, birthday list, recipes and messages. Use a full
wall, front of the refrigerator or even cabinet fronts. With a rainbow of colors available, it’s even more fun and decorative. No longer just black and schoolhouse green, you can choose a plum or magenta chalkboard. And when you’re finished using it, your wall looks lovely without decoration.
Chalkboard paint creates a hard, scratch-resistant surface and can be applied to wood, metal, drywall, glass, concrete and more. It’s best used indoors and cleaned with soap and water. It can even be added to a dining table, making tic-tac-toe and hangman easy while waiting for dinner. If you’re planning to apply
it yourself, choose a smooth, flat, clean surface. Tape out the perimeter using painter’s tape and a level to ensure straight edges. Note: choose carefully where you place it because chalk dust can be messy, especially on carpet or wood floors. Next, paint with even strokes using a foam roller. Follow instructions for drying time, and most likely paint three coats to get coverage. Leave the wall for several days to cure. Finally, prepare the wall by rubbing a piece of chalk over the entire surface and then wiping clean. This conditions the paint to make it smoother for future designs. Now grab the chalk and have fun.
THE INSIDE OF YOUR FRIDGE
Offers a Canvas
Decorating and organizing your home is nothing new. But take that energy and attention into your refrigerator’s interior and now you’re fridgescaping. The term, popular on social media, has been getting a lot of attention lately and for good reason.
Just as pantry organizing and decorating caught on, fridgescaping takes the practice inside the refrigerator. Fruit and vegetables are displayed in decorative bowls and baskets, drinks are decanted into pitchers and leftovers are hidden.
Some people take it to another level by adding flowers, framed photographs, decorative bowls and even designer handbags. Some decorate based on a theme including holidays, movies, trends and colors.
On the upside, the trend can lead to a cleaner refrigerator. Wiping down shelves and cleaning out the fridge often means fewer germs and less debris. And by curating what’s in your fridge, you’re more likely to toss expired items rather than waiting for the smell and searching. By keeping fruit and vegetables front and center in a glass bowl, you’re making it easier to grab and reducing food waste. Studies show that people typically don’t eat
everything in their fridge before it expires, so keeping items up front encourages use before they expire.
And since fresh food is available in clear view rather than hidden in a drawer, you’re more likely to eat better. It may even encourage children to eat better. If it simply makes you smile each time you open the door, that should be enough encouragement to give it a try. No need to go shopping. Look around your home for containers and unusual ornamental pieces. Start small and add a vase of flowers or framed photo.
There also is the potential for food-safety matters. For instance, moving dairy into glass containers introduces the potential for contamination. Vegetables and fruit, especially berries, stored in open containers can dry out faster and lose vitamins, as well as attract insects. And pay attention: not all decorative containers are safe for food storage. Vintage crystal pitchers and antique metal bowls may look nice but can also contain lead. And even though flowers look pretty, make sure there are no bugs before putting them in your fridge.

MAN CAVE
MAKE YOUR Family Friendly
No matter what your family dynamics are, everyone deserves a personal space to feel comfortable and peaceful, even you.
Your kids probably have their own bedrooms, decorated just the way they want. Your spouse may have the bedroom or even an outside shed set up as an office or craft room.
Now it’s time to consider your own “man cave,” where it will be and how you’ll make it uniquely your own.
A traditional “man cave” is thought of as having dark leather seats, sports memorabilia, whiskey, etc. And if that’s your idea of comfort then go to it.
However, it’s also possible to take your space and customize it to your needs and desires but keep it useful for the family. That way it can double as an entertaining space to host your friends and family.
Here a few ideas to make it comfortable, useable and family approved.
LIBRARY/STUDY
Create a sophisticated library with dark walls, light furniture and even a white ceiling. Make it elegant and classic, but add comfortable seating and space for your cigars and maybe even a wine fridge. Then use it as a quiet space for date night with your spouse as well as your quiet time.
DECKED OUT GARAGE
Long thought of as the ultimate man cave, the garage may need work to create your space, but it will be worth it. Take your love of vintage cars and transform that garage into a luxe, multicar depot. Even on a smaller scale (your half of the garage), you can still add lighting, seating, chrome accents and a TV.
MOODY HOME OFFICE
If your only space is a home office, get creative and create a room that works as an office by day and den by night. Put the big-screen TV behind sliding doors to avoid distraction, add mood lights, comfortable seating and maybe even a pool table. You can entertain friends or spend time with your family when you’re done working for the day. Use dark wood with jewel-tone accents for a warm, relaxed feel.
SCREENING ROOM
If you’re a movie buff, create the man cave of your dreams by turning that space into a screening room. If you’re lucky enough to have a basement, you’ve got the perfect space. Private screenings all by yourself or watch the game with friends. Add cozy recliners, built-in cupholders, a home-theater sound system and baseboard lighting for effect — and don’t forget the wet bar. Later, have family movie night complete with popcorn and blankets.
Warm, Cozy Spaces
As the seasons change, the allure of a warm, inviting space becomes irresistible. Transforming your home into a cozy haven doesn’t just elevate comfort — it exudes luxury and nurtures well-being.
EMBRACE RICH TEXTURES
The cornerstone of a cozy space is texture. Think beyond visual appeal and incorporate fabrics that beckon you to touch and linger. Plush velvet curtains, cashmere throws and thick knit blankets create layers of comfort. Pair with textured pillows in materials like silk or linen for a refined touch.
Fashion IN YOUR HOME
THE POWER OF SOFT LIGHTING
Warm, layered lighting is essential to setting the mood. Replace harsh overhead lights with softer options like table lamps, sconces and strategically placed candles. Opt for warm-toned LED bulbs or dimmable options to control the glow throughout the day.
NATURAL ELEMENTS FOR TIMELESS WARMTH
Incorporate natural materials like wood and stone to create warmth with an organic touch. A reclaimed wood coffee table or stone accents evoke a sense
of connection with nature and lend a timeless feel. Complement these elements with greenery to bring in life and freshness.
LAYERED RUGS FOR ULTIMATE COMFORT
Rugs define a space and amplify its coziness. Layering a soft, plush rug over a larger woven or jute base adds visual interest and depth. For a luxe twist, opt for high-pile rugs with intricate patterns or neutral tones that blend seamlessly with the rest of your decor.
COZY CORNERS FOR READING AND RELAXATION
Designate a nook or corner as your personal retreat. Add an oversized armchair or a chaise lounge with a throw draped casually over it, and place a small side table nearby. Top it with a classic lamp and your favorite books or a steaming cup of tea.
SCENT AS THE FINAL TOUCH
Never underestimate the power of scent in creating a cozy space. Essential oil diffusers, scented candles or incense can infuse your home with calming, luxurious fragrances like sandalwood, bergamot or vanilla, enveloping your senses in an atmosphere of serenity.
CREATE FUNCTIONAL ELEGANCE:
TINY CLOSETS
Luxury and small spaces may seem like an odd pairing, but when it comes to maximizing storage in a tiny closet, the intersection of style and practicality can create a space both beautiful and highly functional.
The foundation of any well-designed storage solution begins with an honest assessment. Take the time to declutter your closet by sorting items into categories: keep, donate and discard. Prioritize quality over quantity by choosing timeless pieces that align with your lifestyle.
One of the most effective ways to maximize space is by incorporating custom shelving. Adjustable shelves allow you to change heights based on your needs, ensuring that every inch of vertical space is used.
Consider high-end, modular shelving systems in rich materials like polished wood or sleek metal for a refined touch. Built-in shoe racks, velvetlined accessory drawers and sliding shelves add function and flair.
A small closet doesn’t mean sacrificing storage potential. Install double-hanging rods to create two levels for shorter garments such as blouses and skirts. Use the highest parts of your closet for chic storage boxes or
decorative baskets that keep out-of-season items neatly tucked away. Choose matching storage containers in luxurious finishes like linen or leather for a sophisticated look. Good lighting is a must. LED strip lighting along shelves and rods not only enhances visibility but also elevates the space’s aesthetic. Choose warm lighting for a cozy glow that showcases your wardrobe. A well-placed battery-operated chandelier or decorative light fixture adds a dash of opulence without requiring hard wiring. Make use of often-overlooked areas, like corners and the back of the closet door. Install slim pull-out racks for belts, scarves or ties. Over-the-door hooks in brushed brass or matte black add a touch of class while providing space for bags and accessories. Built-in corner shelves can be used for folded clothes or stylish hat stands, creating both display and storage. Small touches can make a big difference. Invest in slim, matching hangers made of quality materials like velvet or wood to keep clothing wrinkle-free and to maximize hanging space. Drawer dividers are a must for organizing smaller items such as lingerie, ties or socks. Opt for dividers in premium materials that echo the sophistication of your closet’s design.
Elevate LET JEWELRY, ACCESSORIES YOUR DÉCOR
What is the difference between a piece of art and a piece of jewelry? For one, most art is displayed for everyone to see while your accessories are only seen if you wear them.
Some fashion accessories and jewelry deliver a statement. They’re displays of craftsmanship and a designer’s creativity.
If you own fashion jewelry and accessories, use them to add a touch of personality to your home décor.
First, approach the accessories as you would any art and get a feel for where it would best be presented.
If you’re looking at a Hermés silk scarf, why not frame it? Use a professional framer to protect the scarf and show off the vivid colors.
If you’ve got a whimsical fascinator by Philip Treacy, don’t hide that in your closet. Some resemble an ikebana arrangement when displayed on the right stand like a vintage bowl or plate.
For the holiday season, you may want to buy a tiny tree and adorn it with your Chanel and Tiffany earrings for a stunning decoration everyone will be talking about.
For a sparkling necklace of jewels and more, a framed piece of

velvet offers the perfect backdrop. Just use pearl pins to hold it in place for a striking 3D exhibit.
While on a walk, find a few twigs and spray paint them gold or silver. These can be placed in a small vase and used to hang bracelets for a bit of “nature meets bling.” Natural elements like a chunk of stone or wood, or even a cracked-opened geode, can make an interesting backdrop for artful accessories. Brighten up your coffee table by
finding a small mirror in a frame and placing it face up on the table, creating the perfect spot for a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master to reflect the light and colors.
Be creative, look around at what you have and how best to display it and then sit back and enjoy while you take the compliments.
Of course, if you’re lucky enough to own a Birkin Bag, place it on a simple pedestal of Lucite or marble. Nothing else required.

Succulents
ENDOW HOMES WITH LOW-MAINTENANCE LUXURY
Succulents have cemented their place as the quintessential low-maintenance plants that deliver on aesthetics and style.
Known for their variety of structures, vibrant hues and effortless elegance, succulents transform any space into an oasis of calm with minimal upkeep.
WHY SUCCULENTS ARE THE PERFECT ADDITION
Succulents are celebrated for their ability to thrive in a variety of environments while requiring little attention. Their thick, water-retentive leaves make them droughttolerant, so you can enjoy lush greenery without the commitment of constant watering or complex care routines.
From the rosette-shaped echeveria to the tall and sculptural snake plant, succulents come in an array of shapes, sizes and colors that suit any décor.
For the modern homeowner seeking luxury with a minimalist approach, succulents offer the perfect solution. Whether perched on a windowsill, arranged as a centerpiece or nestled in a decorative terrarium they shine in any space.
BENEFITS BEYOND BEAUTY
Succulents do more than enhance the visual appeal of your home. They’re also natural air purifiers, absorbing toxins and releasing oxygen, which can improve indoor air quality. Their presence has been associated with stress reduction and increased focus, making them ideal companions in home offices, bedrooms or other living areas.
Caring for succulents introduces a mindful moment into your daily routine. While they
don’t demand constant attention, the ritual of occasionally checking their condition and ensuring they have the right amount of light can be a grounding practice, a touch of tranquility for a busy life.
ART OF SUCCULENT STYLING
Succulents can be styled to suit any interior. For an ultra-modern look place sleek single-stem succulents like aloe vera or sansevieria in minimalistic monochrome pots. If you’re going for a more bohemian vibe, mix varieties of different colors and textures in a larger container, such as a low ceramic bowl or a vintage planter. For a luxurious touch, choose metallic or marble pots that echo elements of your home.
Hanging planters filled with cascading varieties like string of pearls or donkey’s tail are perfect for adding greenery to higher shelves or corners, creating an eye-catching, verdant display.
SUCCULENT CARE MADE SIMPLE
One of the reasons succulents are considered low maintenance is their ability to thrive on neglect. Watering is straightforward: wait until the soil is completely dry before giving it a good soak. Depending on the climate, this may mean watering only once every two weeks. Overwatering is the primary reason for their decline.
Ensure succulents have plenty of indirect sunlight. A bright windowsill or a room that receives ample light is perfect. If placed in low-light conditions, hardy species like the jade plant or snake plant will continue to grow, albeit at a slower pace.
