We all know about the bandits and the bad boys, the gunfighters and goons, but not the women who held it all together with grit and spit. The reality is plain: there never would have been a settled West without the women – Native and Mexican women here first; Black and White women who followed – all bravely staking their lives in these unknown badlands. But they’ve never gotten their due.

The setting is in a Denver, Colorado jail cell, where Bat Masterson and Governor Frederick W. Pitkin have put Doc in protective custody for a few hours. This is after Doc and the Earps have left Arizona for Colorado. Unfortunately for Doc, a few hours have turned into a few days. To say the least, Doc is not very happy about this. He is angry with the jailor, who is ignoring his needs. Out of boredom and frustration, Doc begins bantering with the other prisoners. You, the audience are the other prisoners.
