As West Valley communities grow, so has the demand to provide residents with superior bone, joint and muscle care close to home. Your charitable gifts are funding a $2 million initiative to support spine health and orthopedic care at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center. Your investments are transforming the Center for Orthopedics into a new, state-of-the-art Banner Center for Orthopedics that can treat nearly 5,000 patients annually. Contributions continue to be needed to fully fund new equipment, advanced technologies and service enhancements that support skilled surgeons and providers in keeping you and your neighbors active for years to come.

Thank you! Your donations have helped to achieve 72% of the Generosity for Generations Campaign’s $48 million goal. Of that, $2 million is making it possible to provide specialized equipment and service enhancements including:

“Sun Health Foundation is funding an additional inpatient ortho navigator at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center. The navigators are responsible for conducting pre-surgery education and preparation for 20 to 40 patients per week in a program called Joint Camp.”

SERVICES DIRECTOR, BANNER HEALTH 9 O-arm 3D imaging technology ensures precise placement of instruments and hardware to improve spinal surgery outcomes and safety 9 Minimally invasive tubular retractor technology allows spine surgeons to create smaller incisions, which decreases blood loss and incidence of infection, and accelerates healing 9 Specialized microscopes provide significantly better visualization for removal of scar tissue and bone shards from nerves with a lower chance of complications 9 Additional Patient Navigator position assists patients through each step of their orthopedic/ spine care journey 9 Investments in new equipment and technology also help recruit and retain talented medical professionals to our community
