Advanced Master in Urbanism, Landscape and Planning [2020-2022] [Belgium] [Katholieke Universiteit Leuven] [Grade: Cum Laude] Course: - The advanced master's addresses ever-growing urbanization worldwide and the increasing pressures of global warming. urbanism, planning, and landscape are the core disciplines of the program. These are discussed and developed while tackling innovative concepts and strategies in multi-faced and scaled urban contexts through theories and policies tested out in the studios' projects and plans. Namely, the studios' were focused on water systems and urban forests as new infrastructures for urban contexts with high housing pressures. Thesis: - Creating "Sitopia" through the development of tools to mark circular food production as the new infrastructure for growing urbanization. Bachelor Degree in Landscape Architecture [2012-2016] [Lebanon] [American University of Beirut] Thesis project: Brewing a Vertical Park - Explored the idea of conceptualizing new methods of creating a park. The project transforms an abandoned brewery, in the old industrial area of Beirut, into an actual vertical neighborhood park.
Professional Experience Landscape Architect: Dar Al Omran [2019 - 2020] [Lebanon] - Focused on two major projects in Riyadh, KSA, throughout their design and development phases. - Conceptualized designs for several projects of different scales and types in the cultural and development sector of Riyadh. Some of the project types were: a museum, a cultural center square, a retail complex, private villas, etc. - Prepared client presentations portraying the concept and atmosphere of the projects, through mood boards, plant selection, and material selection. - Developed plans, details, and sections on AutoCAD, then rendered them on Photoshop. - Produced drawings and layouts for the following categories: softscape, hardscape, and lighting design. - Developed Revit 3D models to aid design visualization and solve some design issues, then rendered stills on Lumion.
