Dear Brethren Christian Greetings “Ebenezer! Hitherto hath the Lord helped us” in the year 2023! Today we can reflect on the past year with immense gratitude to the Lord. Each member played a vital role in the tremendous work and involvement that led to the baptism of over 600 individuals and a positive upturn in the finances of the North East Jamaica Conference. Truly, God is good! The theme for this year is "Press On! We are Nearing Home." It serves as a constant reminder of our journey toward our heavenly abode. In light of this, we invite each member to join us in a Conference-wide Day of Prayer on January 27, 2024. Together, let's give thanks for God's graciousness and pray for the future development of the conference, including the vision for a new conference office. We invite you to celebrate with us as NCU FM marked its 13th anniversary in November 2023 by giving a special offering on Sabbath, January 27, 2024, to fortify the impactful ministry of the radio station, touching countless lives across the island. The dedication of each member in 2023 has made a significant impact, and we are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. Our journey continues! Ellen G White reminds us, “Long have we waited for our Saviour's return. But nonetheless sure is the promise. Soon we shall be in our promised home. There Jesus will lead us beside the living stream flowing from the throne of God and will explain to us the dark providences through which on this earth He brought us in order to perfect our characters. There we shall behold with undimmed vision the beauties of Eden restored.” Testimonies for the Church Vol 8: Page 252. May this year be filled with spiritual growth, unity, and unwavering faith as we PRESS ON together. Yours in the Master’s service.

Danielo Daniels President

To: All Youth Ministries Directors, Pastors, and Youth Leaders in the Jamaica Union Conference Dear Brethren Re: Youth Conference & Expo - January 13 & 14, 2024. I greet you well. Youth engagement is critical for mission. Therefore, the Jamaica Union Conference in partnership with IADPA Bookstores and Deli, will be hosting an inspirational Youth Conference and Expo on January 13 & 14, 2024, at the West Jamaica Conference Center, under the theme “Revived and Renewed”. The main objectives are to impart new strategies for youth engagement in mission and ministry, highlight the value that the youth are adding to the Church, and to develop networking among youth and youth leaders. We would appreciate each Church sending the following Youth Leaders: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

Adventist Youth Ministries Director Ambassador Leader Pathfinder Director Adventurer Director Public Campus Ministries Leader/Coordinator.

Whereas our desire is to have all the above, we are expecting at least two youth leaders and a youth (at least 3 delegates) from each congregation. Registration fee is $4,500 per person to be paid by January 8, 2024, to your respective Conference Youth Ministries Department. I wish you every blessing as you continue to fulfil the mission of the Church, and we look forward to seeing you and your delegation in January. Sincerely,

STEWARDSHIP QUOTATION GIVING OUT OF COERCION IS UNACCEPTABLE TO GOD Matthew 10:8 ....Freely you have received, freely give. NKJV I saw that the cause of God is not to be carried forward by pressed offerings. God does not accept such offerings. This matter is to be left wholly to the people. They are not to bring a yearly gift merely, but should also freely present a weekly and monthly offering before the Lord. This work is left to the people, for it is to be to them a weekly, monthly, living test. This tithing system, I saw, would develop character, and manifest the true state of the heart. (Testimoney for the churches vol.1 p237.1). *(Pressed offering really means, by force or coercion). There has been a neglect in the churches of keeping up the plan of systematic benevolence, and the result has been an impoverished treasury and a backslidden church 3T 408.5

As you forge through 2024, stop and review your personal relationship with God. It is important to satisfy the interest of others, but also take care of yourself and build your relationship with God.
