All Pastors, Elders and Family Ministries Directors Dear Brother and Sisters in Christ Happy New Year! I greet you in the name of Jesus, our blessed redeemer and soon coming King! I wish to use this opportunity to thank all our Family Ministries Leaders for the support you gave to the Family Ministries Department during the year 2023 and look forward to greater commitment and service for the year 2024. This year we join with the personal Ministries Department under for the initiative: “Families in Mission”. This idea is simply to have every Adventist Family working with a nonAdventist family; quite frankly, this is one of the most effective ways of having total membership involvement. Through the Family Ministries Department, the Conference is seeking to have some 1,300 couples registered for the initiative, 5,000 Singles, and approximately 90 churches involved. Registration is presently ongoing and can be accessed through the Family Ministries website. On February 10-16, 2024 the focus is on: How Parents in the Family Grow in Faith, during the course of this week we encourage all our Family Ministries Leaders to have a one-week series focusing on the family with a baptism to be held on February 16, 2024. Additionally, our Couples Convention will be held on Sabbath, February 10, 2024, at the Dover Church under the theme: “Loving God Loving Each Other”. We are encouraging at least 2 couples from each church to be present. We look forward to a successful and productive year, as we do our part to have happy healthy families in North East Jamaica Conference. Yours in Christ Service
Garfield Manderson Family Ministries Director
TITHING PRINCIPLES 2. Man is a manager or steward administering God’s goods Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands: thou has put all things under his feet. Psalm 8:6. 1 Corinthians 4:1; Genesis 2:15; Genesis 1:26-28; 1 Timothy 6:7; Acts 4:32; Luke 12:42-43. “A steward identif ies himself with His master. He accepts the responsibilities of a steward, and he must act in his master ’s stead, doing as his master would do were he presiding. His master ’s interest becomes his. The position of a steward is one of dignity because his master trusts h i m . ” Te s t i m o n i e s f o r t h e C h u r c h 9 : 2 4 6 .

To Sabbath School Superintendents & Community Services Leaders North East Jamaica Conference Dear Brethren: I take this opportunity to express thank you to all the Sabbath School and Community Services leaders, who served with distinction in 2023. I appreciate, wholeheartedly your support and hard work throughout the year, as you sought to do good in the neighborhood. May the Lord’s divine blessings be on your plans, as you continue the journey in 2024, going for more.
You have made some long-remembered memories as you served in your field of work, here is another year of making memories with you, my invaluable leaders. Let us rally to the cause and work together as we embrace the focus “All the Family in Mission” in 2024.
As you forge through 2024, stop and review your personal relationship with God. It is important to satisfy the interest of others, but also take care of yourself and build your relationship with God.
Let us work the field of souls as we “Go for More in 2024”. Faithfully yours,
Sharon Blake (Mrs.) Sabbath School and Community Services, Director
I am more anxious to see a wide circulation for this book than for any others … for in The Great Controversy, the last message of warning to the world is given more distinctly than in any of my other books. Contact the North East Jamaica Conference Publishing Department office for prices.
