Official Guide to Raymond James Stadium
about Raymond James Stadium Designed to fulfill the ultimate fan experience, Raymond James Stadium is a Tampa treasure unveiled in 1998 for local, national and international events. This intimate atmosphere has a 65,890 seating capacity (65 percent along the sidelines), expandable to 75,000 for special events such as the Super Bowl. Tampa Bay hosted Super Bowl XVII (‘84), Super Bowl XXV (‘91), Super Bowl XXXV (‘01), and Super Bowl XLIII (‘09) with unprecedented success. Fans enjoy theater-style seats with cup holders and unique, festive end zone concourses accented by two large video scoreboards. Raymond James Stadium is easy-in, easy-out with escalators and ramps at the gates and elevators for guests with disabilities. Accessing bountiful concession stands and abundant restrooms is a breeze with extra wide concourses on all levels. The stadium meets the American Disability Act (ADA) guidelines for parking, restrooms, concession stands, seating and signage.

The stadium has two air-conditioned lounges accessible to more than 12,000 club ticket holders and 3,000 luxury suite guests. The lounges include hotel-quality furnishings, large video walls, full-service sports bars and two specialty event day restaurants. The three private suite levels feature 195 air-conditioned luxury suites, which showcase many amenities including fully retractable windows, multiple televisions, private bar, private restrooms and seating for 8 to 45 guests. Hillsborough County voters passed a halfcent sales tax for community investment purposes on September 3, 1996, dedicating a percentage (less than 10 percent) of the tax to stadium construction. The remaining portion goes to schools, fire/law enforcement and infrastructure. A Florida sales tax rebate also funds the stadium construction as does a portion of tourist development tax.
